I have a 2005 Excurison Limited 4x4 6.8L V10. The last time I drove the truck the windshield washer worked fine. While driving in very cold weather Thursday night/Friday morning, I went to wash the windshield and nothing happend. The wipers work fine, but no fluid comes out. The outside temp hasn't gotten much above 15F, and when the problem first happened, it was about -10F. The trip back home is about 9 hours, and it would be nice to be able to see the whole way home. Any help is greatly appreciated.
SOURCE: windshield washer fluid is not being pumped out
Has it got to below freezing in your area recently? If so, your fluid is probably frozen and will need to be replaced. That is the only thing I can think of. It happened to me recently! Good luck I hope this helps
SOURCE: 2004 ford explorer rear windhshield not working
Considering the safety aspects, the rear wiper & washer pump may be separately fused.
SOURCE: windshield washer does not work. nothing comes out
Possibilities include a faulty washer pump / fuse , or a clog in water flow between washer fluid tank and nozzles.along with everything in between
SOURCE: Windshield washer not working properly
If you have used ANYTHING beside windshield solvent in you reservor, you may have created WAXING from soap in the bottom of washer tank, which clogs pump, lines, and nozzel....take the tank out and wash it..disconnect washer hoses at nozzel and clear with compressed air along with the nozzel...if you use solvent only you may have a worn washer pump or restriction...check those and good luck.....

Hi MeTV,
I was expecting to hear, 'And the radio only plays the theme from the twilight zone'. I'm glad you're an Engineer.
Process of elimination then:
Maybe it's not so much the engine warming up as the length of time.
What's left are Fusible links. Self resetting fuses that may (and I'm reaching here) be popping during startup. They take a few minutes to reset.
They are normally running through the firewall on the engine side. You will need a meter to check them. It has to be done while nothings working. They are regular wires with little barrel in line.
It's the only component that could be responsible
Mike
