After driving for approx. 30 min. the headlights turnoff. After turning the headlight switch off then on lights come back on. But, after another few minutes they shut off again. I, believe the relay for the headlights is the problem but, don't know which relay to replace.

Headlights stay on too long after turning off ignition

This is a feature for safety. If you turn off headlights before the engine, they go out immediately.
If you leave lights on when turning engine off, then turn off headlights, they stay on for approx 30 - 40 seconds, to allow one to walk to the door etc, with illumination on.

If you mean several mins, then time it to check consistancy. If consistant, may be a program issue, if not consistant, maybe a relay issue.

Head lights stay on after engine is shut off.light switch in car is not on.tail lights aren't on just head lights

If you are turning the engine off before turning the headlights off then the headlights(only) will remain on for approximately 1-min. This feature allows you to use the headlights to get to where you want to, such as to your door with some light.
If your are turning your engine off before turning your headlights off, to turn them off - turn the headlights back on and then back off again. The headlights will turn off immediately.
However, if you are NOT turning off the engine before turning off the headlights, then this feature may be malfunctioning in the switch. To remedy this right away use the above procedure - turn back on then back off; until you can replace the malfunctioning switch.
Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional questions or information. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.com!
Again stated: these will normally turn off after 1-min.

Chevy S/10 headlights

headlights are on a circuit breaker--not a fuse. so if you have a high amp draw situation--the breaker will get hot and turn the lights out then cool off and reconnect(a safety feature so you may have headlights a least part of the time). You need to look for reasons for a high draw. bad headlights themselves are the most popular cause as well as corroded connecters. Hope I helped

Headlights don't work.

There is a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch body. It gets weak over time and use. The breaker is actually mentioned in the owners manual. A new switch is about $75.00 at the local parts store. You must remove the front of the dash to change the switch. Mine would go off and then in about 30 seconds reset and the lights would come back on. I would be driving down the road with my headlights flashing as the circuit breaker opened and closed. New switch = problem fixed.
