My kid rolled down rear window of 2004 Galant GTS while a window cling (for shade) was on it. The window static cling (thin plastic sheet, kind of rubbery) is now inside the door and the window will not roll back up because the window cling has jammed it. Tried but can't get interior door panel (rear, driver's side) off. Can't find any screws other than one in the door handle and one under the inside door latch (by the lock). None obvious on bottom or around the outside edges. Took top panel off arm rest and panel off where electric window switch is, center panel still will not "pop" off with pressure (flat tip screw driver, working around the edges), same with bottom section. Middle still seems firmly attached and feels like if I flex the plastic anymore, it will just deform or break. I need to get the window cling out, the motor for the window still works but the glass is deep inside the door.

Rear window shade wont roll back in on my 2006 Toyota Avalon

You guys do of course realize that the original poster is talking about the rear window shade assembly... not the passenger doors. Every single one of your comments is about the wrong part. The rear window shade assembly is a single unit... if the motor is no longer functioning, you will have to replace the entire thing. And they're not cheap either.

The rear windows seem to have come loose from something. When the window is put down it falls foward so that the window is at an angle. I can still put it up and down. These are automatic windows. ...

remove the inner door panel , under that will be a sheet of plastic,, peel it up and out of the way ( be careful thats some sticky mess they attach it with :) ) there are holes in the metal part of the inside door panel,, roll the window down, along the bottom you will see where the window attaches to the track glide, they have 2 ways these are mounted, One is with a double sided tape,, and the other is the glass has a bracket attached to it,, which I believe is what you have , look at the bottom of the inside of the door,, a small blot has more than likely come off, and it will be sitting at the bottom,, Just line up the bracket and re attach the bolt,, replace the plastic sheet , and reinstall the inner door panel

DRIVERS SIDE REAR WINDOW ROLLS DOWN WHEN 2006 DENALI IS STARTED. THEN WON' T ROLL BACK UP.

Got kids? VW electric convertible top - I found dried milk in the switch had same problem on turn on convertible opened and would not close, would have to use manaul bypass foldup. Pull window controller spray with a electrical cleaner then try it. If not dirty the switch is bad. May be in driver door switch or on rear door? Good luck.

The passenger rear window won't roll up or down from the drivers controle it clicks in the passenger front door. it will roll down in the passenger rear door but not up. the window modulator rolls up and...

I have the exact same problem on a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004. The rear passenger window rolls down only from the rear passenger window and won't go up or down from the front. It has to be in the wiring because the problem was intermittent initially and a new window motor does the exact same thing. If you figured it out or have the wiring diagram please let me know.

The drivers side rear window does not work. It does side down, and when the power switch is press the motor turns on. could the window be off its track or does the window unit need replaced?

It sounds like the window may be off its track. All that needs to be done is to remove the inner door panel. Be careful to pry the clips very gently. They break easily. However, most auto parts stores carry replacements. Once the door panel is off, remove the plastic sheeting that covers the door frame. It's attached with a mastic adhesive.
Once you have a clear view of the window rail, carefully pull the pane up and set the glass on the track. You may need to apply some silicone in the track to keep the glass in place.

Then, test the alignment by pressing the power button and roll the window up and down. With the window closed, replace the plastic sheeting and the door panel.

That should do it.

How do I remove the rear side window? (fixed)

It is glued in, you will need a window removal tool. This job is best done at a glass shop. But you can buy the tool on a tool truck or make your own from a thin cable.
