It could be a number of things. It is definitely a suspensioon problem. Shocks spindle bushings etc. if it squeaks its shocks if it clanks it's your bushings. Hope this helps

What are swey bars on a ford focus

A sway bar is a suspension piece that keeps the left and right side of vehicle connected to help with turns. They are held together through sway bar links at each end, which are fairly common to break or rattle over bumps.

2004 dodge ram 1500 2WD front end making a metal on metal sound going over small surface bumps like rail road tracks. I have had trhe front end inspected 3 times for the possible cause. All garages tell me...

Interesting problem although aggravating. Take a bottle of Dawn washing up liquid,(or equivilent) and drive the vehicle to the nearest railroad crossing. Squirt the soap all over the mounting rubbers on the shocks and anti roll /sway bar. Drive across the railroad crossing and listen for the noise. if none then you have narrowed the search. next do a simple process of elimination regarding the soaped rubber mountings etc.

However,a Dodge noise making rattle when crossing any uneven surface can be caused by the front grille securing fixtures coming loose and allowing the grille to rub and vibrate on the sheet metal. I have an older Dodge with stainless steel wiring fitted to resolve that same problem! It's not an obvious fault but it really is an aggravating one.

Front driver side suspension knock over bumps

See if you can bounce car and replicate the noise. If you can, you should be able to find it, and put your hand on it. Stabilizer bushing are a place to look, both at the lower a arm and on the frame. If you narrow it down to the strut, it will need to be replaced. The front trans mount also goes bad, try putting it in drive with your foot on the brake and give it some gas and see if the engine moves an excessive amount.

1999 alero the front end makes noise like the wheel bearing or

if its clicking when you turn the wheal, then its a cv joint. If its making a bump bump bump noise as you go down the road and increases with speed and slows with speed then its probably a bering, It sounds like you have hit something and caused your ball joints to damage. take a board 2x4 about 2 foot long. jack up the car in the front, just enough to fit the board under the tires. At each tire lift the board and see if you have any movement in the wheal. The movement you are looking for will be up and down, not side to side. Your steering moves side to side. Your ball joints give you limited up and down rotation movement to allow your car to handle bumps. If its in access of an inch rotation then there is your problem. Depending on the car, I would probably look at salvage yards first then go to the part store and compare prices. Because some junk yards are chaging near new prices for used stuff. Also your struts may be shot also.

Clunking noise while turning/hitting bumps

Hay I would check your sway bar in the front .The bal may have came out of the seat located under front wheel well. Also they could be just loose. Check by rocking your jeep side to side .
