87 dodge pickup transmission cooler
PRESSURE LINES HAVE FITTINGS, RETURN LINES CAN USE HOSE CLAMPS,ALSO YOU ARE USING A TRANS. COOLER, YOU CAN ELIMINATE THE RAD. FOR COOLING TRANS. ALSO THIS WILL HELP YOUR COOLING SYS, DUE TO A LOT LESS HEAT GENERATED BY TRANS FLUID.IF THIS IS NOT A GOOD HELP, TRY PUTING COOLER LINES IN TWO BUCKETS. START ENG.PUT IN GEAR, SO THE PUMP CAN OPERATE, PLS,MAKE A VERY SHORT PERIOD. HELPER WOULD BE HANDY, ALSO RETAIN LINES TO CONTAINERS, DUE PRESSURE.
i bought the blazer knowing the radiator needed replacing, when i changed the radiator i damaged the tranny cooler lines i fixed them and then had to move the blazer out of the garage and put in enough i used the blazer to plow the driveway the storm we had last week.it seemed ok.then yesterdays storm i backed up 1 time then plowed a little. then would no go into reverse the linkage seems ok.
ya it sounds like i put it in neutral.
If you have all of your forward gears and the fluid is full....It is probably internal...If you put it in reverse and give it gas do the rpms go up but you get no movement??
Did reverse go out after the cooler lines were replaced or before? Also i am assuming the fluid is full now?
