Cruise control not working 1995 chevy silverado

There are some ideas in the link, but because of the Cruise Control issue, I think you need an auto electrician as things like this are controlled by ECM and BCM.

This is very complex , first thing is have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the BCM , PCM !
The body control module (BCM) monitors the signal circuit of the cruise control switches. The BCM relays the cruise control switch status to the engine control module (ECM) via the GMLAN serial data circuit. The ECM uses the status of the cruise control switch to determine when to capture and maintain the vehicle speed. The ECM monitors the vehicle speed signal circuit in order to determine the desired vehicle speed. The ECM uses the throttle actuator control (TAC) motor in order to maintain the vehicle speed. Your best bet would be to take to the dealer !

I would probably have the computer scanned for ABS trouble codes.
It could be a switch or something else such as an actual problem with the abs system.

Possibly a broken wire in the steering column. Wires goint through the steering column for the cruise are so fragile when the tilt is used alot causing the wires to brake. Part is $70.00 through advance auto. Cheapest I've found if you order online.

Hold your foot under brake pedal pulling up on it if this cures problem adjust brake light switch up a ways on fire wall side of pedal arm

You have a bad bulb. Likely a front bulb. Check all bulbs. One has to be bad.

It sounds like the cruise control linkage was never reconnected. Have you been back to the place that did the work?

first check the fuse for the cruise control

check for a vacuum leak i believe the cruise control runs off a vacuum

Canadian, The switch will run you $150 ( non cruise control ) to $250 ( with cruise control). Then what ever labor rates are in you area could run $80 to $180 to replace.
