Ok if the plug is not the same then it is not compatible! If you figure out the control wires hot an grounds you might be able to make it work ! hope this works!
12 volt test light or amp gauge. Trailer brakes use 2 wires... 1 ground and 1 hot. The hot has varied amps to apply according to the controller. 12 volt test light works great. use the white (typical) as your ground and the blue (typical) as your hot. Apply brakes. Light should get brighter as the controller is turned up and dimmer as it is turned down. I hope this helps.
Remove glow plugs, then connect each one to 12volt supply.Make sure negitive goes to glow-plug body and the positive to live terminal, now you have a circuit feel the end of the plug it should be hot.CAUTION!!! very hot if it`s not it`s broke..Good-luck...
CHECK BLOWER MOTOR RELAY. HOT WIRE BLOWER MOTOR.IF BLOWER MOTOR WORKS, PROBLEM IN THE BLOWER CONTROL SWITCH OR FAULTY RELAY.IF BLOWER MOTOR DONT WORK WHEN HOT WIRED.BLOWER MOTOR FAULTY.
If you don't have one, buy yourself a $5.00 12volt test light, it will come in handy in situations like these, and many others. Can you not find 12volt constant in yoour old connection?
the power to the glowplugs is sent from a relay that by the picture i have is near the radiator.this relay is fed by a 12volt fusible link and is activated by the engine control module grounding it. try to locate this relay and make sure you have power at 2 of the terminals and a ground when the key is turned on
