I30 fog lights

when you removed the filter was there any wiring loom/harness that you may have disturbed ? this is a strange one , if there is no obvious way you may have disloged a wiring connector i'd advice you to get an auto electrician as these faults can be a nightmare to rectify

Pin 1 Yellow L/H Direction Indicator
Pin 2 Blue Rear Fog Lamps
Pin 3 White Earth Return
Pin 4 Green R/H Direction Indicator

Pin 6 Red Stop Lamps
Pin 7 Black L/H Tail & No, Plate Lights

I found the easiest way to locate the correct wires in the loom is to turn on the lights required and use a circuit tester and splice into the main loom where you have enough wire to play with. Try not to cut the loom as it only causes more problems with bad connections and joins.

check behind the headlights, the original loom should be taped up behind for a direct fit

Check fuse box & bulb for fog lights. If they are ok then check the wiring loom for continuity test & your fog light switch too.

You can wire directly into the loom behind the left hand light unit.
The colours are L/H Indicator = Black White, R/H Indicator = Black/Green, Fog = Black/Blue, Brake = Black/Yellow, L/H Tail = Grey/Black, R/H Tail = Grey/Red, and Earth to be bolted to earth point here to.

Halogen bulbs are brighter and generally draw more current than standard filament ones.
Have you check that the supply fuse has not popped ?

I had a persistent problem of hill light warning and TCS warning lights coming on for no apparent reason. There is a wire connection between the stop light switch and the control unit to let the system know when brakes are being applied. Changing the stop light switch cured it. The replaced switch was certainly sticking and the new one was of a different design. Replaced it myself as switch comes with a wiring loom. Need to get on your back under the steering wheel! Not very expensive. My car 2001 TD4

ha if fog light were a opation on your car the plug should be there. if not you will have to run new wires. good luck

look where they mount the lights connectors are probably right there
