Anti theft device for 97 ford expedition

My car wont start and my anti theft light blinks fast when I turn the ignition. How can I reset it? My 2000 ford expedition died on me while going down the road. We found that the wires behind the drivers side tire had been cut. We fixed them and it wouldn't start so we tried having the theft system reset and it still won't start. The dealer said they could diagnose it for $82 an hour. If someone could help me out of having to pay that I would greatly appreciate it.

My 2000 ford expedition will not start, the anti-theft system continues to blink fast. I took it to the dealer and was told I would be charged $68 per hour for them to take the motor apart. I am assuming they know exactly what the problem is, why would they tell me they need to take the motor apart. I took it to an auto mechanic and was told it was the security feature. How can I get this reset?

2000 Ford Expedition 5.4 liter. How do I bypass the anti theft security system. I have tried to reset it, and checked all fuses but nothing.

Short answer is you can't. The Ford PATS system is very complex and designed to stop exactly what you are trying to do. ECM, BCM, PATS Module and sensors all there to prevent theft.

Turn the ignition off, and press the brake pedal. Turn the ignition on and off three times, on the third turn leave the ignition running. Press and release the brake pedal, and then turn the ignition off. Repeat these steps again for a second time.

I have a 2003 expedition.about a month ago it quit goin down the road and we put a fuel pump and a cam sensor in it and it ran .yesterday it quit again I put another new pump and can sensor but it won’t...

Ford's PATS anti-theft system disables the starter from spinning the engine . Flashing real fast while trying to start the vehicle means the vehicle see's wrong key code ,think's the vehicle is being stolen . Code's stored in the computer , FORD dealer , nothing you can or should do .

My theft light is flashing but my 1997 expedition wont start.The vehicle turns over but just don't start.

ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM Passive anti-theft system
Your ignition key has a unique imbedded transponder which engages engine electronics and allows the vehicle to be started. Without the use of your special ignition key, the vehicle will not start.

During each vehicle start, the coded key is read by the anti-theft system. If the key’s ID code matches the code in the anti-theft system, the vehicle is enabled to start.

Briefly illuminates when the ignition is turned to the ON position to verify that the passive anti-theft system is operating properly.

Also, its possisble that tou have actovated the fuel pump switch.

1998 ford expedition wont start. theft like is

If you are reseting a factory alarm...lock and unlock the drivers door with the key. If you don't know the code look under the dash driver side in left corner there should be a black cover with a sticker with a code on it 6 numbers that is the factory code.
