Google "***** wobble" common on big Dodge, Ford, Chevy, and things (like Jeep's) with bigger tires and lifts as miles go up. Yours is also likey a bad wheel balance . Have the wheels balanced and watch them spin as they balance them.

SOURCE: My 03 Wrangler shakes only at 45 mph

My Death Wobble started immediately after I installed a set of Coil Spring Spacers (to lift 1.75 inches). Turned out, the DW was because while changing the height, I also lowered the CASTER angle in the front end. So, to fix it, I could have purchased a set of eccentric bolts for $50+. Instead I went out and purchased a piece of 1.5 inch flat bar for $10 from OSH. I cut out 4 1.5 inch squares. Then i drilled 7/16 inch holes centerline, but close to one side (in exactly the same place) on all for squares. I then removed the lower control arm bolts, nuts and washers. I installed these square offset washers I made so the front axle would be pushed forward (to increase the Caster angle). The toe setting changed a bit, so I reset them to about 1/8 inch toe in. After driving my Jeep, I noticed there is no more DW. The steering wheel was off center, but after 3 attempts, I have that perfectly centered. I have every intension of having the alignment checked, but not till after I find the new tires I want. If anyone is interested, I can draw out and photograph the cure and send it to you. My e-mail is bb62471(at)yahoo(dot)com.

SOURCE: 02 jeep liberty won't shift into 3rd or 4th gear.

Ratio codes generally indicate a pressure loss & slipping which the computer reads as a gear ratio problem. Likely you need a rebuild.

I have a ford focus 2008 sedan automatic. I get a transmission malfunction message.

Diagnostic Procedure Before Repair
Step 1 - Clear all DTC's with a engine scan tool (diagnostic trouble codes.) Visit - Scan PCM
Step 2 - Start the engine and observe the MIL, if it does not illuminate continue to next step (service engine soon or check engine light.)
Step 3 - Drive the vehicle while trying to maintain a constant throttle position as it accelerates up through all four gears. If the transmission is shifting properly, it should be in 4th gear by the time you reach 45 to 50 mph on level ground. Repeat this procedure from a standing start 3 to 5 times. Rescan the PCM for trouble codes, if none appear the problem could have been a onetime occurrence. If a trouble code has returned repair as needed and recheck system. Hope This Helps !!!

Lexus ES300 Shakes/Vibrates At 45 MPH

Major transmission problem. That's what the flashing Check Engine light means.

If the Check Engine light is on all the time, it means there is a "fault code" stored in the computer. Take it to an auto parts store (like Auto Zone) and ask them to read the codes to see what it says. They should do it for free. If they won't, go to another auto parts store.

2003 toyota echo when shifting above 45 mph makes a loud high rpm noise especially on the highway

If it is not going into overdrive or lockup it could be the fluid or an electrical problem. Some of the shifting is controlled by solenoids now.
You may have to get a transmission shop to evaluate it for you.

Jeep cherokee jerks when shift into overdrive going 45 mph

If the engine has a rough idle you know you have a miss-fire or other problem with one or more cylinders.
When you shift into overdrive the engine is working harder than in normal drive because of the lower torque/RPM.
So any slight miss under normal conditions will be magnified in overdrive or with the ac on.
See if you can nail down the cause for the rough idle.

The transmission seems to hesitate or slip at 35/40 mph before shifting?

Common on the Jeep Liberty, make sure you do a trans. service and use the proper transmission fluid.
