Clutch pedal stuck to the floor

`Did it bleed, did fluid come out in a steady stream? Isn't there a spring to bring the pedal off the floor?
Check the linkage of the pedal to rod to the clutch master cylinder, make sure that is all together. Any chance the master has an internal leak and won't build hydraulic pressure down at the slave? If you get it bled, then watch the slave operation while someone works the clutch pedal. The piston on the slave should extend and push the clutch fork enough to disengage the clutch.

It is the clutch cable that get stuck, less often clutch disk. Register the clutch cable

They will usually have a bad slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder. See if you see any leaks at those parts. The clutch master cylinder may leak on the back side so you may have to look underneath the dash to see it. Fill with fluid and pump pedal, have someone look while pushing on pedal. It will be wet from the leaking fluid.

Checked the clutch fluid level in the slave cylinder?

Hi if you have done the following to bleed the clutch.
1 open bleed screw
2 push pedal to floor and keep on floor
3 do bleed screw up
4 lift pedal
5 undo bleed screw
6 push pedal to floor
7 do bleed screw up
8 lift pedal up
you need to repeat this a few times but making sure the fluid level dont drop below the lowest level else you will get air in the system.

right now if you have done the above properly and you still either get the pedal going to the floor and staying their or you have no pedal at all then this points to their being a fault with either the clutch master cylinder or clutch slave cylinder, now in most cases the one that fails is the master cylinder this is the one that is connected to the clutch pedal now its usually this one that fails and causes the pedal to go to the floor or have no clutch.

but it could also be the slave so bare this in mind, if the pedal comes back up after pushing it down then the chances are its the slave at fault and this is the one on the gearbox that operates the clutch arm.

You have to replace the Slave Cyl. when you put on the new one you have to bleed it ..To get the air out of the new line.

there is a plastic clip that connects the clutch pedal to the rod that goes to the master cylinder, chances are that it let go. Bad thing is that it is only available from GM along with the rod. It is around 50

clutch hydralics is gone, meaning you have a leak, check clutch master cylinder, see if its empty, if so refill and pump pedal sevarel time may have to lift by hand sometimes then look for a leak,most times it the slave cylinder,thats what pushs clutch fork to disengage clutch. hope this is helpful good luck.

check the helper spring on the clutch pedal. You'll have to get down in the driver's footwell and using a flashlight look at the mechanism while you push the pedal down (and pull up). If the spring isn't missing or broken and everything looks okay, then change the clutch master cylinder. The piston in the cylinder is probably binding due to corrosion in the bore. I have an 1986 and had the same problem. Changing the clutch master cylinder fixed it.

look, if the clutch pedal is to the floor, there are about 3 different things that could be wrong. First check brake fluid to make sure full, see if there is any leakage under steering wheel and below transmission. Next could be the slave cylinder, it could be faulty or not bled right. Last it could be the master cylinder. If when you bleed the slave cylinder and have no movement in the arm inside the transmission then most likely the master cylinder is broken. Look under the steering wheel and see if everything looks entact. Watch the movement of the pedal and see if movement looks normal and see if fully attached. Good luck.
