83 f250 I can get it started and it runs great for about a half hour or so and then quits. If I jump it it will start up, if I let it sit for awhile it will start up. I have replaced most electrical parts. I am pulling out my hair now.

Sounds like the rectifier in your alt is faulty if you take the alternator to a shop they can load test it for you most auto electric places test alternators and will do so for free if you just bring them the alternator in hand failing that i sounds like a power problem and if i were a betting man i would toss that alt in the can grab a single wire gm alternater and slap it in and save my self the head ache in the future

1992 Chevy Astro won't run, will start up great with starting fluid, or let it sit overnight.

You need to check the fuel pump pressure and I would change the fuel filter in the process. Sounds like you may have a bad fuel pump.

1991 Plymouth Acclaim stalls

One of the more common problems with the 2.5L & 2.2L engines that suffered the symptoms your describing, such as, starts & runs good, then at any given time would just quit, not start, but after sitting a while, or by the time the mechanic gets to it, it starts right up, or you sit on the side of the road for 20 min. or half hour then away it goes for a while longer, then quits again down the road. There is a pick-up plate under the distributor cap & rotor, with the wiring plug coming from it. 90% of the time, it's defective, and cuts out especially, but not limited to, more often when weather is hot.

Engine stalls at stop lights and stop signs

check the fuel regulator, while running unplug the red vacumn hose and if gas squirts out the hole, then it is bad,if not then possibly plugged catalytic converters, drive it on the highway if you can, and stop and look underneath at it and if it looks red, then replace them.Check to see if its overheating, usually a really hot hood tells the story.

check the started solinoid on the passenger fender. Mine would do what you are describing until i put in a new soleniod.
