I am working on a 2002 Hyundai Sonata with 2.4L engine. Problem is that the fuel pressure drops to zero as soon as the pump shuts off, thereby causing extended crank time after car has been sitting. There has been 2 fuel pumps, a pressure regulator and the fuel filter replaced.The fuel filter is aftermarket. Did the OE filter have the check valve intregal?

I would also suspect a fuel pump problem is you've done a tune up recently.

The fuse box is located low on the left side of the dashboard behind a cover, or at the left side kick panel, behind a cover.

Relay Box -is located under the left side of the dash as well.

Go to the free Kia tech website: http://www.kiatechinfo.com/index.asp You will find detailed instructions under the 2001 "MS" series Kia Optima. It is exactly the same as your Sonata. The site is free and anybody can access it. Just register, and allow some time to learn to navigate around. it can be tricky at first. Good luck, and remember to have your window securly taped fully closed. this will make it easier and quicker. best of luck!

well if she ran it to long with no oil it might be locked up and might be able to turn it over if its not to bad. but you should still get power going to your fuel pump i would check all connection going to fuel pump and no broken wires. try even un plugging battery to see if there's a bypass

You don't required to search for the wiring diaghram. These are standard in the wiring harness from the manufacturer. You need to look for the socket which may folded inside the console in front of you. Fix the audio in position and connect the cable socket for your new audio.
