96 Dodge Runs fine but after warms up it dies, cools n will crank n run good then dies again after warming up.

Hey Dennis,, DON"T BECOME A PARTS REPLACER..(some people who "call themselves mechanic's" are just that!),.. .take this Dodge to a qualified professional... talk to them..
You say warm... do you mean full running temp?? .if so, you may be experiencing a vapor lock,, fuel "boils" when the engine is hot.. when it cools its no longer hot enough to cause this..(S.W.A.G.)

well its a long shot but it could be your catalytic converter is going bad or is clogged, i have seen them get so hott they glow red. this sometimes can be seen at night by looking under your car after it has ran to the point of stalling and dieing,, if thats the problem the car cant exhaust creating back pressure that robbs power and can cause your car to die.. after it cools the metal shrinks back and the car will runn again untill it getts hott.. i hope this helps

2001 Chevy Tahoe AC stopped working

There is a possibility that the A/C compressor clutch burned up or got disconnected. Try investigating the wiring for the clutch.

Check out your cold start choke. It is designed to cause your fuel mixture to run "rich" until it warms up. It is basically a heat sensitive coil that reacts to heat from the exhaust manifold.

94 Chevy 1500 truck, seems to be getting fuel, pump sounds like working when checked. Replaced Mapping sensor, had distributor check, but truck continues to run fine for awhile, then just die for no reason...

These sometimes have problems with the magnet on the distributor shaft loosing magnetism. This causes the pickup coil not to be able to produce a strong enough signal for the ignition module and the engine dies because of no spark.

I have a 1996 chevy tahoe, we had a new transmission put in and now the a/c won't work and can't afford to take it back again, where do i need to start for troubleshooting whats wrong.

Don't be afraid to ask the place that worked on your Tahoe. The transmission is in a different place than the A/C and there are only cooling lines for the transmission that are in the radiator area which the A/C shares. There are other repair shops. Ask other places if the A/C is a problem with the trans repair. There is a cost book "Flat Rate Repair" which should tell if the A/C has to be messed with to do the trans. Many shops use a similar book. Then you have ammunition to challenge the shop that worked on your vehicle.
