My 1999 chevy malibu: 6months ago it would run fine, then it wouldn't start every once in a while, we would wait and it would start up. then 3 months ago it started dying while i was driving or if i took my foot off the gas and then reaplied, it would die every so offted. Then it became more offten, but it would always start right back up. This last time it started fine, i drove it 3miles and it died and did not start. right before it died i lost radio, then all gauges went flat, died 2 minutes later. still has alittle juice in the batt for the lights, but after a jump start, it dies less then 1 mile away.

You may be having an intermittent failure with the fuel pressure regulator - checking the fuel pressure when the truck won't start may pinpoint this problem. If the pressure looks OK, this same problem can be caused by the ignition system as well (ignition coil or control module).
fuel issue? check all fuses first then check your fuel pump filter. disconnect the power cable from battery for 30 min then plug back up and try that should fix it based off the info you just gave
Verify if there is spark or not when cranking the engine over. If not, could be the pickup coil inside the distributor-this is what tells the control module what position the crankshaft is in, for delivering spark at the right time.
2006 malibu maxx. windows wont go down. owner manual has something about if there's a system overload the windows wont work until the overload is gone. i have to cut the radio off and a.c. when aobut 15mins. sometimes this is work. problem is i can't wait 15mins with the windows up and no a.c.
If the cat is clogged, blocking exhaust flow, the car may start normally, and may run fine while the engine is cold. Within a few mins as engine warms it will start to bog down and die when you try to acellerate, even a little. May even die out if you give it gas, while it may idle just fine.
This has been my experice in 2 different cars of different types over the years.
Is your theft light flashing. If it is try this. I learned this from emission wiz
Put your key in turn it on dont start wait 10 mins remove key wait 10 seconds repeat this a total of 3 times. If that dont work try a different key do the same thing. This relearns your key to the ignition it started with Gm cars and trucks from 1999 to to 2006. It is a big problem but there is no recall that I know of. If that dont work a dealer needs to probably replace and reprogram your ignition switch and keys
