1. car dash warning shows Immobilizer light (read the oper guide yet)
2. car cranks ok, but will not run. (most immo cut fuel,not spark)

(how to open security, means nothing) try to explain what that means. my guess, is you're guessing the IMMO is INOP some cars are fitted with IMMO, only you know that, and has a dash lamp and the glove box operators guide explains ALL that. --------------------------------------------------- with no fuel, spark is useless with no spark, fuel can't burn. Mr, otto cycle engines. ICE. your engine cuts fuel (the brain) if it thinks there is no spark. So spark checks are first. if not below. if the IMMO is unhappy the engine will never run, by DESIGN.

take the unit out and remove cover try and manually release mechanism if not its toast

Service the engine and do a tune up on carburettor and distributor. If the result is the same, engine smokes, do an engine overhall.

If you have serviced the engine, changed oil and oil filter and air filter and spark plugs and cleaned the carburettor or cleaned your throttle body and injectors, and its still heavy on fuel then try the following. Adjust the carburettor air and fuel. Take off the distributor cap and clean the rotor and spark pionts in the cap of carbon build up by means of light sand paper. Same applies to the spark/ high tension leads and coil lead metal connection points. Check distributor timing as well. If the engine smokes, do a compression test. If results are beneath factory specifications, remove cylinder head, replace the valve stem seals and re-seat the valves and or replace the pistons and piston rings. Basically engine overhall

Chiltons manuels are a lifesaver and money saver when it comes to repair instructions. You may be able to find it in the auto store for your make and model. Order it on line.. It may cost you 19 bucks , but it covers every system in the car including schematics. Well worth the money ..about 19 bucks or so. Good Luck

Most likely it's missing transmission oil. Instead of holding it in, he should have checked the level of oil and added some if needed. Now the transmission is probably damaged and the repair will be much more than just adding oil. Sorry.

Maybe weak fuel pump

That is most likely caused by the Idle Air Control solenoid.

Check ignition coil if it gets power on positive terminal

you have left the crank sensor disconnected i would imagine ,

Depending on how bad the dent is you may not even have to take anything apart. I had a buddy that swore he got a dent out of his door by using a vacuum pump that had a special suction attachment. You may be able to use a sturdy plunger, but if the dent has any sharp bends/corners you may need to take it into a body show. Its mounted on the side of the block where the block connects with the transmission.

Check for a kinked or blocked break line.

After checking the easy stuff first like low oil level, if it is high RPM(revs) & shifts hard(lurch when it does shift) then I am thinking the transmission filter & oil need to be changed. The transmission filter acts as a suction screen on an automatic transmission & as it collects contaminants to protect the inner workings of the transmission, it becomes plugged which greatly affects the ability to shift especially the high gears at faster acceleration.

Fuel filter is located under the hood engine compartment, behind the engine, on car body. It is usually black in color, cup shaped with banjo bolt at the top and the nut at the bottom. It is attached to the body by means of a clip and bolt. It is replaced after every subsequent 30,000 Kms.
