How do i replace the battery terminal in my 2005
- Do you mean the actual terminal on the battery itself? If this is the case you cannot do this. If the battery terminal itself is loose then you need to replace that battery immediately.
- Now if you are referring to the battery cable you tighten up on the battery terminal this can be replaced. First get a battery saver from the parts store. This cost around $5 and you plug this unit into your cigarette lighter. It uses a 9 Volt battery and when inserted into your cigarette lighter outlet preserves the code in your car for your radio.
- Now you can remove both battery cables.
- Get a battery clamp from the parts store. As long as it is made for top posts you will be fine.
- Now take some diagonal pliers and cut as close to the original clamp as possible.
- Throw the old clamp away.
- Strip all the wires going to the old clamp 1/2" back to expose the braid.
- Now insert the wires into the clamp and screw them wires onto the clamp FIRST.
- THEN hook the batter clamp up to the battery.
- Now double check your work.
- Now hook up the other cable.
- Remove battery saver.
- Test by turning car on.
- Jon complete.
- If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Sonata high temperature
Could be a bad sensor. I've seen this caused by a loose connection and may not be overheating in fact. Certainly should be checked out.
Brake lights are staying on
The brake light switch is either broken or come lose! Brake light switch is mounted in front of the brake pedal!
What would cause a Hyundai sonata not to start after sitting over night
if you haven't left any thing on over night you may have a weak battery or bad connections to the battery, the alternator may have a blown diode and will not charge the battery full. these are just some small remedies, if none of those are the problem it can get heavy like a short in the system or something draining it like an alarm. if thats the case i would take it in for diagnosis.
When it goes up and down it makes a knocking noise
I will have to guess at this question since you don't give much information. Some cars have Mcpherson Struts at front and back of car, some have Struts at front and shock absorbers at rear. Struts and shocks would have to be checked for ware as well as lower control arm bushings. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
Why is the dash clock going on then off ?
I would say that you have a bad connection either where the clock is plugged in ,or inside the clock it self. You would have to go behind the dash board to find the problem. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
