it dont have MSD

hot or cold engine or both, is not stated and very very important. 1.6L is a G16B 16valve engine.

1. find a a mech that can do this.
2. did you drop all belts first? run cold cold for 2 min, gone now?
3. use stethoscope to the front timing belt cover, is this it?
4. forget the 60k mile new timing belt , BINGO.?
5. Forget the 60k valve last check and the stethoscope shows, noise on top valve cover. harbor freight sells it for $5
6. is oil pressure at spec, using a real gauge?
7. is the front crank pulley bolt (17mm head) at 94/100 ft/lbs,. BINGO?
8. is the exhaust collector donut gasket bad? (common) sounds just like bad rods too. so while making noise , use a lever and bend the header pipe,(below collector at CAT, lever it, does noise stop.?? BINGO !
9. is the intake pipe on top of engine, not with huge bolts hold it to the exh top rear header tight, many are loose. fix that now.
10. once you prove all this is good, then bad engine.? by process of elimiation. works.

got rust bad ,huh> got ABS option (first year of real ABS here)??? the drawings are unique by ABS or not. on all cars, 96 to now. as are partnumbers Suzuki still sells them. why not use 2 persons to test this. one at the brake, one looking, and in 5min flat, the leaking part is seen. the buy a new one. hard, cant answer, ABS not stated. but in all cases the system needs a full bleeding.. google that. learn' do not drive it. FI = fuel injectors, etc IG = ignition., H/L = head lamps.

correct spark plugs. gapped to under hood sticker gap>? (EPA sticker) replace wires 1 by 1 not mixing wires up>? oops? knocked off a critical sensor? map or maf. is the check engine light on , running, yes, then scan it. scan the OBD2 port at ,knees. its telling you what you did wrong. listen to it.

easy, pull the dome fuse. wait 5min and put back, DOME = ECU memory NVRAM , power. killing this power fuse erases all suzuki DTC errors in memory. the delay is to let capacitors discharge naturally. or use any scan tool made in USA, and press RESET. there is a 3rd way but way messup radio programming.'

there is no EFI fuel injection map on that car. the MAP is for the EGR tests ONLY and is smack on top off the Plenum.' the MAF at air cleaner, is used to measure air flow and most injection rates are based on that. A/t box. 3speed or 4, they offered both in 1996. my guess is the 4speed, which is electronically shifted the car has TCM, if you unplug it (under dash) the Tranny swithes to a manual trans, and you can shift it manually see that trick here. OD overdrive and PN (power /normal) what to do? check all fuses first. reseat the TCM, look for damage in side it. check fluid levels , read operators guide, never guess, or overfill it. RTM; read the guide then act. make sure shifter actually moves tanny lever to DRIVE. bad cable, or is loose or damaged. does tranny shift to 2nd gear from 1st if starting off in 2nd? ????????????????????????????? tell more get more.... ask.

the seal is bad. for sure. some have 2 or 3 seals, only you can tell which leaks, by looking.
