the BOOT is the English word describing the trunk (US for the rear access panel, door,for access to the spare wheel,storage for tools etc)

Check your alternator or the relay.

Could be in the timing causing this...I would suggest taking it to the shop..Many things it could be....hope this help and if so please rate this post..

Sounds like you have couple of problems on your vehicle.Driver doors does not open by handle or locks are not pop out , on 3th gear cutout sounds like transmision relative,,auto or manual?could be safety switch or solenoid.however you have to give more specific info's about your car and problems.

If you are getting power to the unit and you hear it clicking and making a sound when you hit the eject button, the this means that a CD is jammed in the track and while it was changing it got stuck and now causes you to see an ERROR message. What you do is while hitting the eject button, wiggle the CD MAGAZINE up and down and side ways. This will cause the CD to fall into place and your magazine will pop out.KennyV

Purchase A Hayn'es repair manual. They will go in great detail on how to remove the alternator.

not to sure on a jaguar but i know on the gm you can press the gas peddle three times and turn the ignition on but don't start it... not sure if the computer setting system is the same but you may try it and see

You take the front bumper off to take the light off to change the bulb ,simple isnt it

COULD HAVE BAD FUEL WRONG TYPE FUEL COULD NEED NEW AIR FILTER. DIESEL ENGINE NEEDS AIR TO OPERATE.IF AIR FILTER RESTRICTED.DIESEL ENGINE WONT RUN AND CLOGGED FUEL FILTER CAUSE STARTING PROBLEMS PROBLEMS WITH TURBOCHARGER OR TURBOCHARGER ACTUATOR WOULD CAUSE ENGINE RUN VERY SLOW NO POWER ON TAKE OFF.I SAY PROBLEM IN FUEL SYSTEM OR AIR INTAKE SYSTEM.IF YOU HAD ANY OTHER PROBLEMS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL FLASH ON.

If you know what an EGR valve is and that it is your problem then you know enough to replace it. If not, which is apparently the problem, you need to take it to a dealer because your are problably wrong.

Jaguar X-Type Programming (Pairing) a Remote KeyFob X-Type 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0L



Programming or pairing a new remote Keyfob for the X Type is a very simple job that will cost a substantial amount if it is done by Jaguar. It's annoying but this may need to be done if your Keyfob battery has been allowed to go flat, or the car battery has been removed for any length of time.
Follow these steps exactly and you should have no problems, pairing old or replacement Keyfobs for your car.

1.)I would recommended that you ensure all key fobs are fitted with new batteries. ( Click here to see battery replacement guide).
2.)Get in the car and close the drivers side door.
3.)Put the key into the ignition and turn to position I.
4.)Wait 5 seconds
5.)Turn the key quickly to position II then back to I four times.
6.)You should hear a single chime.
7.)Remove the Key
8.)For each Keyfob in rapid succesion. Press any single button on the keyfob you wish to pair, you should hear a chime as each Keyfob is paired with the security system. After the chime do the next Keyfob.
9.)Check operation of each Keyfob.

If the fuses are fine then reprogram the key fob here is what you do...get into the car,make sure the doors are closed,pull the high beam stalk back towards you so that the high beam is on and hold it...then insert the key and turn it to phase two,then flash the highbeam with the stalk three times by pulling it to you,,,you will hear a beep(hold the stalk),and the foblight will flash on the dash, then while still holding the stalk to highbeam,press the remote transponder once then the car will beep once then remove the key and press any button on the fob to make the car respond.
