Engine does not turn over when you turn key sounds

The starter is bad, the drive that extends out to engage the flywheel has failed. If this has been going on for a long time, there's a chance the teeth on the flywheel are damaged, this should be checked when the starter is replaced.

MY 99 HONDA PASSPORT HAS

If the engine also runs a bit rough as soon as you accelerate, I'd suggest you have the intake manifold gasket replaced. Having a diagnostic service done for a small fee might also tell the tail. The Intake gasket worked for me.

If you get out of the vehicle it should be under the drivers side dash somewhere accessible. Should be about an inch and a half long or so, and out in the open maybe even mounted to the bottom of the dash near the side.

How do you determine the ratio, when replacing the

The ratio is normaly printed on an identification tag fitted to the differential ie. 9.3-1 In other words your pinion turns 9.3 times for everytime your crown wheel turns once. if the differential is open you can also determine it by counting the teeth on the crown wheel as well as the pinion and deviding the pinions amount of teeth with the crown wheels.

Nuetural switch cable what does

The cable comes from the shifter and goes to the transmission. there you will find a safety neutral switch. Mounted to the transmission. remove the cable, pops off. remove the cable arm and nut. two bolts remove the switch. some times you have to pry the old switch off. The switch can keep your car from starting.

99 honda passport-transfer case pops into neutral

Hi, the operating sleeve (an internally splined sleeve that has a groove for the shift fork on the outside) and the output shaft can shift in relationship to each other and do what you describe, that is pop out of 4wd. The solution is new bearings everywhere in the t-case (there are kits available, and it's not that hard to do yourself if you have the mechanical skills especially the little needle bearing that supports the inside of the output shaft for 4wd) AND a newer, sturdier output shaft.

A/T oil temp indicator light

The transmission is slipping. Problem could be as simple as the transmission being low on fluid. Check this first. If that's not the problem, it should be taken to a shop for service.

I need to know where do i put transmition fluid in

Do you have your owner's manual? It will tell you where the dipstick is to check tranny fluid level and will tell you where to put the fluid as well. If you do not have an owner manual you can drive to Autozone or some other large auto parts supply house and one of their techs should be more than happy to assist you, they do it here for free.

I hope my advice helps and please don't forget to rate/vote..
