Might want to verify what is it that you are taking off. No such thing as a crank and pinion. If you are having problems with your steering, then you are talking about the rack and pinion. Unless it has a after market security system with GPS then no it did not have that from the factory.

There is a hose diagram under your hood on a sticker. Either on the bottom of the hood or by the latch. The other place is an auto parts store. Most will print this off for you free of charge.

loosen of the lock nut on the adjuster bolt and then turn it in to increase the tension in the torsion bars if turning that bolt is difficult then a jack under the front of the vehicle will lighten the load on the thread and make turning easier remember that adjusting the height if the vehicle by adding extra tension to the torsion bars will alter the wheel alignment

The idle air control valve is dirty or defective.

You have broken wires running between the door and the car's body in the boot if you pull it back to the rubber boot you will see the wires broke fix this in your problems would go away

The window is stuck on something this can happen easy. Check window for some place that it is binding. The motor was hot because it tried to move but couldn't.

I doubt the two problems are connected. The high idle could be a vac leak or a sticky idle speed control valve.
