Gas gauge broken

This could be a complicated problem. The first step is to usually suspect the sending units. This is the part that raises up and down and sends the signal to the instrument cluster as to the fuel level. The first step is to install new sending units and then recheck. The problem could be in the instrument cluster or in the wiring in between if this does not solve it. Open up both sides of the fuel tank access ports to check for mice damage if you did not open both sides. A short from mice eating a wire can cause the entire gauge to read empty. The pump has a sending unit and pump as one piece, make sure the left side wiring is good also. If it looks good then at the dealer we would install new sending units to check operation. If it still did not work then we would have to continure troubleshooting at the cluster for possible problems. I think most of the time the sending units are the faulted component. Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer. if its out of time you have more problems. see if camshaft is turning while trying to crank (look through oil filler hole) if not, the timing belt is broken and you may have bent valves.

# 2 cyclinder misfires.rough engine

The most obvious cause for a #2 cylinder misfire would be either a bad spark plug or a broken wire. However you could also have a bad fuel injector or coil pack. I would suggest you check your spark plug and wire for that cylinder first because they are the easiest and cheapest to fix. If that does not solve the problem then start looking at the other options. I hope this helps you out.

Sun roof is leaking into

are you sure it is the sunroof leaking ? if you are sure the the sunroof is in proper alignment and the seals are good then remove the trim around the windshield and check the seal at the top of the windshield to see if that is the leak.

most body shops have a leak finder, this is probley one of the coolest things i have seen in awhile it is a radio transmitter that they put inside the car and then they have a radio receiver that they move around the outside of the car to find the leak, call around to your local body shops to see if any of them have the system. good luck

let me know if there is any thing else i can do for you.

How to replace a serptine belt need diagram

Hello country.... the auto-tensioner has a bolt in the center of the pulley. Use either a wrench or (preferably) borrow the proper tool which is just a wrench on a nice leverage bar. When you put pressure the tensioner pulley arm will swing and give you room to remove and replace the belt. Just don't be afraid of loosening the pulley (that was my fear) and don't try a hex wrench on the engine mount side of the tensioner arm.

  • For a 1999 Honda Passport, an error code P0440 means the gas cap is not on tight or is not sealing proper. And the dealer told you their scanners did not work for the vehicles that come to the dealerships? Interesting..
  • Check the gas cap and make sure the plastic wire that hold it is not caught up in it preventing a good seal.
  • Make sure that you click the gas cap three or four times when screwing it on to make sure it seals good.
  • Sometimes the "O" ring on the cap can become dry and or cracked. So make sure it is not cracked.
  • Sometimes you can add a little bit of motor oil to the "O" ring to help it lubricate and this will temporary fix the leak.
  • Or you can just get a new gas cap and then have the code cleared.

  • Not very often this code can be caused by the Fuel Pressure Tank Sensor located by the fuel pump goes bad. This is possible but rare to be honest.
  • If you are getting this code, and it is this only code, address the gas cap.

Key stuck in ignition and cant be removed? tried

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You probably have a bad ignition module and lock cylinder. None the less, it will need taken apart to get the key out and probably replaced after that. As far as the parts and labor, they are a few hundred dollars apiece.
