My compressor is grinding what is wrong?
Sounds like a bad clutch in the compressor. First you must discharge your AC system with an AC machine that sucks it out. Then you need to remove your drive belt by releasing tension on it by turning your belt tensioner the way it needs to go the slip the belt off the compressor pulley and NOT the entire pulley system just leave the belt on the other pulleys so it's easy to remember how it routs. Then remove your high pressure and low pressure lines that bolt to the compressor and make sure the system is discharged before you do so. Then you will have three or four bolts that hold the compressor to the engine/timing cover. After you get those out it's a wiggle game getting the compressor out of the vehicle. Once all done install new compressor in reverse order of taking it out then once it's all buttoned up you must use an AC machine to vaccume all the air out of the system to ensure proper AC operation then you charge the system to the manufactures specified value which there should be a sticker on your hood or raidiator brace on top if no sticker check the owners manual if still nothing call a Cadillac dealer and ask for the manufactures specified AC system charge weight for your vehicle. Where is the fuel relay switch?
why not post the symptoms, we can work that.

- inertia switch (crash)
- even the ECU is a switch that turns on the pump
my wild guess, is car cranks but will not start.
or stalls?> what? there are many reasons for most symptoms.
are you DIY (bravo) or is hubby or BF or dad?
this unstated engine, has a fuel pump,, EFI.
that only runs under certain logic reasons. (ECU dictates and more)
what we do is check fuel pressure first
if zero. we work backwards. (electrics)_
check all fuses first. test them.

Will turn over but wont start
Not enough info to make a conclusion but you need to first check the fuse for power on the "hot" side then if power change the fuse whether it looks good or not. You can also check the fuse with an ohmmeter for continuity. If all is OK then it could be the pump oe the wiring from fuse to pump.
Liftgate on srx will not close or latch shut
Not sure on the srx but check to see if the latch aligns with the actual hook on the trunk,i think that might be the issue if it doesn't it should have two screws to align it move it till it aligns.If you'r not able to see it put a piece of tape and you should be able to see the tape peels where it hits.I f equipped with electrical motor it might be out or fuse

Just from having a 97 Cadillac Deville i would lean towards o2 censor or head gasket but, there can be many different reasons, the fuel tank lid could not me sealing right, you could have different wheels & tires size, which could also cause that, after market stereos can be a common reason as well ( 97 Cadillac stock stereo was linked with the vehicles computer so removing it was like taking away a vital part of the vehicle) Quickest way to tell is take it & have it Diagnosed.
