More than likely small plastic clip that attaches exterior door handle to mechanism has come loose or is broken, It's a .29 part but almost $200 in labor (door panel removal, etc..)

Most likely have broken wires in the driver side trunk hinge. Splice/solder in some new wire and tape it and the problem will most likely be fixed. It is an incredibly common problem with the gen 1 LS400.

The main purpose on an alternator is to recharge current back to the battery. One of the most common problems with the Lexus LS400 and SC400 is that power steering pump seal leak. Right below the power steering pump is the alternator. The power steering fluid will drip down and cause many electrical problems for the alternator. Therefore, its very common to have the alternator go bad along with the power steering pump, just be sure to check.

need to take belt off and spin each pulley by hand to make sure they all spin freely and also look and make sure when belt broke that it did not cut a wire or something like that

sounds like the fuel filter is bad or the throttle position sensor is going bad.

Have you scanned the wires?

The vehicle is 20 years old its likely a contact problem to one of the motors or a control switch . Start wiggleing wires around and checking there contacts . its likeky nothing big or expensive its just getting old good luck

SOUNDS LIKE THE BATTERY IS SHOT AND NEEDS REPLACING. MOST BATTERIES AVERAGE BETWEEN 2-4 YRS. I'VE SEEN SOME BATTERIES ONLY LASTING A LITTLE MORE THAN A YEAR. DEPENDING ON HOW YOU USE THE VEHICLE, MATTERS HOW LONG A BATTERY CAN LAST. IF YOU SIT & IDLE THE VEHICLE WITH THE A/C ON,FAN AT HIGH SPEED, LIGHTS ON, STEREO RUNNING WILL SHORTEN LIFE CAUSE THERES NOT ENOUGH ALTERNATOR SPEED TO CHARGE THE BATTERY. REMEMBER, WHAT VOLTAGE IS CONSUMED BY THE VEHICLE, THE ALTERNATOR REPLACES THE VOLTAGE BACK INTO IT AND MAINTAIN. PROVIDING YOU DON'T HAVE A RED BATTERY WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH WHILE DRIVING, IT'S SAFE TO SAY THAT THE ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING. BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE THE CHARGING SYSTEM CHECKED ON YOUR CAR TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION. GOOD LUCK.

Surely, you can use a Dexron II transmission fluid but I would recommend you get the Dexron III instead. In actual fact, always use Dexron III ATF for better efficiency of your vehicle.

There is a short circuit some where in the car you can find out just unplug the battery terminal at night and then touch the terminal to the battery if it sparks then surely its a short circuit and go to a good electrician
or if your battery age is over it will still start all day but will show as drained in the morning start
