Should be under the hood. The manual should tell you where it is located. You can also calll the dealer.

right if youre lucky as the key lock has gone in if you can get on teh end of the metal rod with long nosed pliers and pull or push it then it will open ,now if lock was a staright push type then a push the lever behind inwards and boot (trunk) will open ,if your unsure then ask a local mechanic as he will open it in seconds for you .

GET A GOOD FUSE TESTER, TEST EACH FUSE. THERE ARE 2 FUSEBOXES. ONE UNDER THE HOOD & ONE IN THE DASH. ALL FUSES CAN BE TESTED WHILE STILL IN PLACE. THERE ARE TEST POINTS FACING OUT. TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH FOR THIS TEST. POWER ON 1 SIDE, BAD FUSE POWER ON BOTH SIDES, GOOD FUSE. POWER ON NEITHER SIDE, SPARE FUSE.

The seat will have to be removed in order to inspect the power seat mechanism. Based on what you have stated, my guess would be that a gear may have stripped inside the mechanism when you heard the popping sound.

If the engine is model is:
(4.0L, VIN U, 4th digit, 1UZFE eng), Calf, then the 1991 LS 400 engine is the same from the year 1990 to 1994.

Sounds like a head gasket/cracked head. Does it not heat when you're sitting at a light but then starts to blow lots of heat after you start rolling again? That's a typical symptom of combustion gasses entering the coolant and coolant entering the combustion chamber. Look for steamy exhaust too, it's another symptom.

It should be addressed as soon as possible, if it were to get worse to where coolant starts getting in the oil then repairs would be much more expensive.

Try to go to ehow and ask for the diagram . Sometimes if you look on under your car hood it will have the diagram there or sometimes it will be on the inside of the door Jamb on the drivers side. You will need a 1/2 inch drive ratchet to release the tension-er after you route the belt around the pulleys. If you cant find diagram you will need to go to a auto parts store and get a Chilton's manual. It might pay to get a Chilton's manual for your vehicle anyway it will come in handy especially with a vehicle of that year you can expect to face allot of little problems that you may be able fix yourself. I have a 1995 chevy blazer and i am constantly doing this and that so it is good to have something that will help you when the problem arise.

did you check fuse for wipers can you hear wiper motor when turned on if fuse is good and you cant hear motor check wireing around motor if its good test for power to wiper motor if it has power replace wiper motor

replace thermostat,and flush system,sounds like you low on coolant.

I had the same problem with my 1992 LS400. My Lexus mechanic fixed it by replacing the MAF(Mass Air Flow).

This used to drive me crazy when the weather was hot.

Your A/C repairer has dragged off part of your Air/Emission control pipework, and never saw it to reinstall correctly. Have a look under the hood around the A/C repair area, and you will most likely see it straight away.

HOW TO FIX CODE 13 1995 LEXUS SC400

On Lexus ls 400 the starter is located underneath the manifold of intake. The intake manifold has to be removed to replace the starter.The intake manifold located on the top, left side of the engine from the front, along with the hoses, wires and tubes connected to the manifold.Mark each connections before disconnecting.This will help you while reconnecting.The starter is fitted by bolts.Remove the bolts and detach electrical cables on starter.Remove starter from engine compartment.Then re-fit the new starter in reverse as you removed the old starter.Its not very easy job.You will require proper tools to do this.This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
