How do I get the wiper arm off of a 1999 Chrysler cirrus? I've removed the nuts but they still are not budging.

If you have removed the retainer nuts, it will come off. The wiper arms slide on to a splined shaft (so they won't slip when operated) and the often get corroded on (you may see a "whitish" powder around the spline. There are several things to try. 1.) Just grab and wiggle it as you gently pull. 2.) pry it up gently with a tool like a screw driver while wiggling and pulling (be careful - the glass windshield is not far away.) 3.) put a few drops of penetrating oil on the exposed spline where you removed the retaining nut and let it soak for 30 minutes, then start over with number one. When it does break free, be ready as it may pop off rather emphatically. You can avoid this next time if you put a very fine coat of anti-sieze grease on the splines before you re-assemble it. They do come off - really :-)

Remote will start car but shuts off with application of the brakes, even with the ignition switch in the on position

I had a Dodge Dynasty that did the same. The car would start after nine times of trying. My problem was a defective computer You can try and remove the connector and clean both sides to make a better connection. If not a computer may be in your future..

Why do my automatic locks keep locking and unlocking, even when I'm not driving my car?

Well-- no mechanic or us here, will guess at any vehicle issues It simply is not possible Since they just worked on it ,take it back Could be you had two issues So do not assume they caused the second one, at least give them a chance to find the problem That is why the auto industry has a bad name & is disliked for 50 years, because you have to be there & build a relationship & understand their issues in trying to help your car (not you) your car

Heater core

I believe this model heater core is located at the lower passenger side of the dash and can be removed without removing the dash. Check your firewall side under the hood for the heater hoses and it will give you an idea of where its located on the inside of the car. Hope this helps Chris

No spark in the spark plug

Just one plug? Check the plug and the wire to it. Replace and see if that works. Have the wires or plugs been replaced on the other cylinders in the past 12,000 miles? Go ahead...do it now before it gets to minus zero outside. Good luck.

1999 chrysler cirrus tachometer works right then will drop to zero and not work

Sounds like the tach is either bad and should be replaced or there is a short or loose connection to or from it. Check the wires in and out of it. If it's in the dash, though, it won't be easy to get to. Good luck.
