O2 sensor I'm guessing .. I t would be the second one back on the side with cylinder one on it , the distributor cap is marked on the number one cylinder wire

sounds like its over heating, the 4.0 6 cylinder was bad about that because it had an aluminum block and heads therefore it heated up quickly, look into your cooling system, it may be something as simple as a thermostat

well it could be the gauge which means you may need a new instrument cluster, A couple hundred plus the diag charge. Say $300 or more easy.

Or it could be $100 for diag and $100 for maybe a speed sensor.

Or it could be $100 to $300 for diag if you have a broken wire somwhere

Go to this site and on left side pick recalls and enter your VIN and you can check to see if there are any open recalls on your vehicle.

You cannot bypass the system which is why it is there. If it could be by passed there would be no point in having it. Ding Ding. If you have a problem with that system you will need to take the car to a Ford dealer to deal with it.

Spark plugs and plug wires is only part of a tune-up. Did you use a gage and check proper fuel pressure? Does the engine rev up and down ok in park or neutral? Can you check for applicable trouble codes, if there are any? Does it have a good idle? A problem at higher rpms, you check for a blockage of some kind, fuel--air--exhaust. Some fords have trouble with maf sensor, I can't say that is your problem?

I like that where to start its an honest question . Let me ask you this are you sure your fan is electric and not a fan clutch spinning off the water pump .You didn't say what engine Most of the time their will be 2 electric fans . If you give more details it would help to understand the problem better .thanks

Hi, code 113 indicates an open circuit of the Intake air Temperature sensor. Code 157, is the MAF sensor ( Mass Air Flow) before you replace the sensor make sure there are no air leaks between the MAF and the inlet valves. I think probably one of your symptoms would be engine stalling when you depress the accelerator. I hope this helps
