1995 Ford Mustang - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Below the altenator is a tensioning pully, insert a 3/8" ratchet or breaker bar in the square hole on the tensioner and release the tension on the surpentine belt and remove the belt. Route the new surpentine belt in place up to the altenator and take the tension off the tensioner and put the belt over the altenator pully. Double check to make sure the belt is riding correctly on all the pullies before starting. Crank the engine over several times before starting to seat the belt.

Sounds pretty likely to be the iac. there should be a test for that - find it in the chiltons or haynes repair manual for your year, make model car - books found at yoru local auto parts store or local library - call ahead to be sure it is in stock

The tracks are loose adjust them and tighten.

You need to have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's .Code would point to problem area . Have a mobile lock smith check it out , one who is licensed

Check fuel flow and pressure , if pressure is low check fuel pump. if flow is low replace fuel filter.

I would check your coolant temperature sensor. Get a Chilton' s manual and it will have in there the procedure to test it. It could also be a faulty gauge.

Your problem may be a lost ground. A lost or loose ground wire will make you pull your hair .

Sounds as though the open signal not getting to injectors and they are air locked. Just a guess ,since you did so much at once, it is either spark or gas.exhaust not the trbl. check all wiring assoc to rail.

What ECU fault codes are you reading? If you haven't done the EEC4 fault code test here is how you do it to read the fault codes. Follow the link EEC IV Self Test Ford Fuel Injection and EEC IV Electronic Engine Control...

run the fault codes and check for MAF/VAF sensor , accelerator position or throttle position motor problems check EVAP for venting problems

No not an interference engine

replace the fuel pressure regulator unit

The transmission needs to be overhauled most likely.

O2 sensor I'm guessing .. I t would be the second one back on the side with cylinder one on it , the distributor cap is marked on the number one cylinder wire

well it could be the gauge which means you may need a new instrument cluster, A couple hundred plus the diag charge. Say $300 or more easy.

Or it could be $100 for diag and $100 for maybe a speed sensor.

Or it could be $100 to $300 for diag if you have a broken wire somwhere

You cannot bypass the system which is why it is there. If it could be by passed there would be no point in having it. Ding Ding. If you have a problem with that system you will need to take the car to a Ford dealer to deal with it.
