I have the owners manual in front of me but nowhere does it list the relay for the right side headlight or a relay for either headlight. Fuses are good. SSP relays dont say what they are for.

Tree is not a relay for the headlights. The headlights are ground side controlled by the FEM module. The FEM module receives lighting information from the instrument cluster which is the "gateway" for the lighting info. The headlight switch as well as the high/low and turn signal information is routed through the instrument cluster and is them delivered to the FEM module or the rear lighting control module. Where is the interior light relay on 2001 ford windstar

Your interior lights are controlled by the GEM - generic electronic module ! Battery Saver The battery saver relay is controlled by the generic electronic module (GEM) and is located in the fuse junction panel. The battery saver relay is designed to supply B+ voltage to the following:
  • dome and map lamp switches
  • visor lamps
  • glove box lamp switch
  • interior lamp switch
  • interior courtesy lamp relay
  • delayed accessory relay
The function of the battery saver relay is to prevent excessive battery drain by interior lighting circuits. The GEM supplies a ground signal to the battery saver relay anytime one of the wake-up inputs of the GEM is activated to operate the battery saver relay. A wake-up command is sent when:
  • any door becomes ajar or is opened or closed.
  • the ignition key is inserted or removed.
  • the ignition switch is turned from OFF to RUN.
  • the ignition switch is turned from OFF to ACC.
  • a wake-up request is received from the remote anti-theft personality (RAP) module (if equipped).
  • The GEM will maintain the ground input with ignition in RUN or for 40 minutes from the last input activation with ignition in the OFF position. After 40 minutes the ground signal is discontinued.
This de-engergizes the battery saver relay preventing B+ voltage supply to the controlled switches and circuits.

How to siphon gas in 2001 ford windstar

Due to gas thefts becoming more prevalent when gas was either hard to come by or expensive or both, many manufacturers installed anti-siphon blocks in the gas tank filler necks of many vehicles. These can sometimes be gotten around by judicious fishing of the inlet tubing down through the gas filler neck, but it can be very hard on some vehicles. Try measuring the distance from the bottom of the gas tank to the top of the filler neck with a yardstick. You can hold the bottom of the yardstick approximately at the bottom of the tank as you can see it while kneeling down beside the back tire and note the distance to the filler tube. Mark off that distance from the end of the inlet tubing for the siphon and put a heavy mark on the tubing at that point. If you can\'t get the inlet tubing down the filler neck to this mark, you probably aren\'t going to be able to successfully siphon gas. You can try twisting the tubing as it goes down the filler neck and pushing it up and down to see if you can snake by the anti-siphon block. It helps if the siphon inlet tubing is small and stiff, but again, no guarantees.

Left windshield wiper goes up and stops. what could be wrong, right side works fine.

They post that turns the wiper has loosened up. Some times this will strip them. Take the wiper off and see if it is stripped. If so, get a piece of wire(bailing wire works great, but a paperclip will work also) and when you inset the wiper back on insert the wire with it, bend it over the get the nut back on. Tighten it back down. Mine stripped about 6 years ago. No problems since. I know it's rigged, but it beats buying a $400 part.

I have a 2001 Windstar with 108,000 miles on it. In cold, damp weather for some reason it tries to lock up when I try to start it. I first suspected a starter problem but the starter checked out fine.

The damp weather is causing a high tension leak in the ignition system . Check or renew the plug cables , Check the cap for tracking and moisture.

2001 windstar keep blowing #18 fuse,

Find everything that fuse circuit controls, disconnect those circuits one at a time to find which one is causing the fuse to blow. That fuse controls radio--power windows--instrument illumination--cassett player. It is possible the component it self isn't causing the problem, could be wiring circuit.
