No power to the coil or to the electric fuel pump.

The ASD relay provides the power to coil and pump, it needs to see a few things, 1, needs crank sensor signal, 2, needs dist signal, both of these sensors are commen to failure, scan tool can be helpful here to monitor data, also voltmeter is helpful to, just back probe the sense return signals at the PCM connectors. Also these trucks had a harness problem on left side fender area near the PDC relay box that feeds the ASD relay pin 87, ( this should light with a test light, key on,) open circuit in the harnes, has to be cut open to check. you can also jump this relay, pin 87 to 30, 87 being J2 ign feed, 30 going to coil and pump being a 1990 truck remote stater should not be a issue, unless it was just put in, then just unplugg it. GOOD LUCK. RDJRP

Melted headlight switch socket, 1990 dodge truck

Due to the problems you have described, especially the discoloration on the switch terminals, I would look at the voltage regulator. It should be mounted against the firewall under the passenger side wiper area. Take the truck to an autoparts store and have them check the charging system output. Most parts stores will check the charging system output for free. See if the output is high or fluctuating. If it is high it would indicate a problem with the voltage regulator or alternator. I am curious as to what is obviously getting the switch hot enough to eventually do it in. The root of the problem as it were! lol Hope this helped and best wishes.

1990 Dodge Ram truck will not start, makes clicking noise.

the clicking noise is the starter solenoid, the heavy electrical contacts that supply 12 volts to the starter are burnt, you will either need to replace the starter slenoid contact set or the solenoid.

I have a 2012 Dodge Ram.. I Keep trying and eventually it starts. I have replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, and fuel relay. Once it gets started and warms up then I have no trouble starting it.

If you're experiencing difficulty starting your 2012 Dodge Ram, even after replacing the fuel pump, spark plugs, and fuel relay, there may be several other possible causes. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the Battery: A weak battery can cause starting issues, especially in colder temperatures. Check the battery voltage and consider replacing the battery if it's not holding a charge or is more than a few years old.
  2. Inspect the Ignition System: The ignition system includes the spark plugs, ignition coils, and spark plug wires. If any of these components are worn, damaged, or corroded, it could cause starting problems. Check these components and replace them as necessary.
  3. Check the Fuel System: While you've already replaced the fuel pump and fuel relay, it's possible that there is still an issue with the fuel system. Check the fuel pressure to make sure it's within the manufacturer's specifications. If it's too low, there could be a problem with the fuel filter or fuel injectors.
  4. Check the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: The engine coolant temperature sensor can affect the fuel system and cause starting problems if it's faulty or not reading the engine temperature correctly. Check this sensor and replace it if necessary.
  5. Check the Starter Motor: The starter motor could be failing or not engaging properly, which could cause starting problems. Check the starter motor and have it tested if necessary.
If none of these suggestions resolves the issue, it's recommended to take your vehicle to a certified mechanic or dealership for further diagnosis and repair.
