I changed the fuel pump

Disconnect fuel filter near tank and turn on, if you still hear the pump pulse and nothing comes out, a good chance that little 3" hose between pump and pick-up tube came off. Also, make sure it wasn't ran dry. There is no bleeding. Check the fuel rail schrader valve if you have fuel at the fuel filter. Good luck, will check on you later.......

Low coolaant light is blinking but there is

This vehicle is equipped with a low radiator coolant sensor. They will give this symptom when known to be defective. Check coolant level to confirm coolant is full. Usually can be checked by unplugging to see if blinking goes out to see if its gone bad. Good luck.

My 97 monte carlo wont

try this-make sure the battery is in good condition (charge it if you can) turn everything off (radio, heater/ac/fan, no interior lights)-turn the key on (not start and leave it on for 15 minutes-without turning it off after 15 minutes, turn it to crank-if it is your security system it should start. You have a security module that, over time, is not happy anymore with the feedback it is getting from your ignition switch, and it is disabling your starter. There are a number of fixes ans work arounds for this, but sometimes if you can get it to start it delays the eventual total failure for a while. Try this first, then get back to see if we can help more.

Car idles rough and idles

were the plugs gapped to specs? new coil and wires? or fuel filter? those are the important stuff all easy and inexpensive and normally fix the drivability issue such as rough idle.

I have a 1997 monte

The age of your vehicle also guarantee's a vacuum leak. It may sound silly but the truth is rubber grommets, and hose's shrink and dry out over time and the harsh environment under the hood makes it worse. Check all vacuum lines and fittings attached to the intake manifold, valve covers (pcv valve), and be sure to check for a vacuum fitting on top of the intake just behind the throttle body. Does it fit tight in the hole? You can seal loose fittings with a high-temp RTV (Red) silicone sealant/adhesive. Several small leaks add up and your engine, heat/AC, and transmission will be all to glad to tell you about it.

What kinda shape are the fuel filter and pump in?

Do i need any special

That tool is a quick disconnect tool. You can get one for about $7.00. Looks kinda like a pair of scissors. It clamps around the tube and pushes into the connector, so you can pull apart the hoses.
