The steering wheel lock pin is probably not falling into place. Try some lock lubricant and jiggle the wheel back and forth a little bit. If that does not do it, you will have to take out the lock tumbler and free-up / lubricate the steering column lock pin mechanism.

If you are talking about the shift fork inside the transmission, it will be necessary to remove and disassemble the trans.

Do you feel heat on both heater core hoses? If not then it might have a blocked heater core, low coolant level, defective heater control valve or a blend door issue.

If you can hear the fuel running threw the injector rail. The regulator is bad. To test it, clamp off the return line. Or use a fuel pressure tester. Your going to have to replace the fouled plugs. Are you getting spark to the plugs?

a symptom of a bad pcm would be that all of your dashboard indicators would be going on and off, the whole rig would basically freak out if you will. I would check everything that has to do with fuel delivery, fuel pressure regulator would be one of the first if it has one, not sure on those models, but a sure sypmtom of the regulator going out is lots of black smoke out the pipe and mass fuel consumption. Something to keep in mind is that problems elsewhere can effect connected systems. You have your work cut out for you on this, but the pcm would be the last thing, and before condemning it look at all things connected with your fuel system.

Sounds like it is time to take it to the service shop, you may only need a new filter, oil and gaskets.

It is written in your owners manual. you need a code which the original owner would have written down somewhere in the manual. If no code, no radio. Only the dealer can unlock and make new code.

My best guess is when you reconnected all the engine wires, you may have made a mistake. All it would take is for one "hot all the time" wire to be inadvertently connected to a device power wire that is normally only energized with the ignition switch in run position.

Engine check light on? Check all vacuum lines for leakage and check fuel to air sensors.

You need to post more info on the vehicle. I know that you say it is a JIMMY but that does not work when it is time to find parts. 1500 or 2500? The sensor could be in the MAF device and if that is the case you should have driveability issues and a check engine light. So let us know about these things please.

check for a leak in the gas tank above the 1/2 level it could have a pin hole. it could also be a bad vent valve on the tank or in the EVAP system that needs to be checked out.
