Trouble starting, gauges going haywire
Sound like an Ecu
I had a similar problem on a Vauxhall Corsa changed the fuel pump, Fuel filter, fuel pump relay but same prob i cleaned all the grounding points there was so many codes. I then opened up the ECU and found a broken wire re soldered it back in place and all the codes went away no cutting off in the midst of a roundabout
hope this helps
I have a 97 gmc jimmy 4wd. received dtc s 740 ,
Have no clue as to what you want ? Like to try an explain a little better . What do DTC'S 740 , 785 and 1860 have to do with key in ignition chimes . Plus i'am assuming the DTC'S you have listed all start with P - P0740 , P0785 and P1860 .
DTC P0740 TCC Enable Solenoid Circuit Electrical (2.2L)
DTC P0740 TCC Enable Solenoid Circuit Electrical (4.3L)
DTC P0785 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical (2.2L)
DTC P0785 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical (4.3L)
DTC P1860 TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Electrical (2.2L)
DTC P1860 TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Electrical (4.3L)
None of these have anything to do with warning chimes .
Key-In Warning Buzzer
Voltage is supplied at all times to the truck BCM through the following components:
• The underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC) fuse 4
• CKT 1140 (ORN)
The chime or buzzer sounds if the following conditions exist:
• The key is in the ignition switch
• The vehicle is not running.
• The left door is open.
When the door is open, the LF door jamb switch closes to ground. This provides a ground to the truck BCM through the following components:
• CKT 126 (TAN)
• The left front side door jamb switch
• CKT 1050 (BLK)
• SP203
• C203, cavity F12
• G203
The chime or the buzzer will sound for as long as the door is open and the key is in the ignition switch.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Remove the key from the ignition.
Using the scan tool, enter BCM Data List.
Select Input 1.

Try formulating the question better as you are jumping from 2009 to 2010 for a year later then asking for an answer 7 years after
1997 GMC Jimmy braking problem
the abs control unit controls the speedo (tach) also tells the cruise signal. abs should be fixed or replaced for any of these to work properly with the abs system not working you have no signal to the ecu to say what fuel air mix is for the speed you are doing and will think you are idling.
1997 gmc jimmy wont start in cold
there are a few possible things. easiest to hardest, check your spark plugs for wear and gap. if its not the plugs it could be water in fuel system freezing. in colder enviorments it is always best to get highest octane fuel available because it contains less water. try adding an octane booster or fuel stabalizer when fueling up. also fuel filter may be at the end of its lifespan, it would take more cranking to suck the fuel through it if it is clogged.

need to see where the fuse goes on my 97 jimmy
There are approx. 50 to 100 Fuses and circuit protectors on a vehicle. They are spread over the vehicle based on cost to manufacture.
What fuse are you speaking of? Lights, Radio, Alternator, ECU?
There should be a kick plate on the side of the floorboard on one side with a fuse label on it, or under the dash, in the glove box and usually one under the hood. A black box near the battery. Some vehicles tell you the fuse identification, others you have to look it up online or owners manual.
No juice going to fuel pump
Are you having more than one issue? With engine cranking, if no fuel pump, no fuel injector pulse--and no spark at the plugs, I usually check for missing rpm signal. These system may operate a little differently depending on year-- make and model. What is your year--make--model?As far as checking fuses, your owners manual should tell you what fuses for fuel pump and or fuel pump relay and where fuses are located. Your fuel pump needs voltage and ground. If you want me to post a wiring diagram, I need year--make--model, only vehicles sold in the US.Click on the comment link for diagram. The gray wire carries voltage to fuel pump, when relay is energized. You see the ecm bat fuse, not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, hot all the time.

check fuses and relays ----re check your fuses and relays as well as battery block and ground straps if all good will need a meter to back trace and search for possible wire short or melted wiring in harness
