My 1995 yukon 4x4 5.7

fernandezhug, In regard to your 95 yukon problem. I have a 95 yukon 4x4 also and I had a similar problem with my truck, I replaced numerous parts before I finally pinpointed the problem. Actually it was 3 things that work in sequence that caused my problem. I finally realized that the two injectors were feeding plenty of gas to the carb so it wasnt a fuel problem in my truck. Try changing the TPS (Throttle possisioning sensor) its located on the base of your carb they cost anywhere from $14-$30.00 at most parts stores. Next test your coil for spark, if it malfunctions it usually will miss or cause the truck to die out (stall).Next check the curcuit breakers under the hood there should be one for the ignition and its possible that could cause the problem too, of course there is a slight possibility you have a blown fuse, but I doubt it. The breakers cost about 15 bucks.Last replace the icm (ignition control module) its located on base of the distributor and requires very little effort to replace.have a set of star bits when you change it.The ICM usually costs around 25 bucks and the coil depends but I got a cheap on for under 40 dollars. Its well worth replacing those three or four things compared to the money you must have spent on just the fuel pump alone. I hope this helps. Good Luck!! P.S. I Love my yukon 4x4 its really a great truck.

My gear indicator sometimes does not light up.

The shifter light problem sounds like you have either a faulty resistor, relay, or (curcuit breaker under the hood). Start with the curcuit breaker under the hood first if thats not the problem there should be a small ressistor under the dash on the drivers side that controls the instrument cluster, change that and it should correct your problem. If you change both of them and you still have the same problem then check your ECM,and Ballast ressistor, Im not sure your truck has a ballast ressistor, but if it does it could possibly cause some electrical things to function abnormal as well as cause the engine to run rough. Thats about all I can think of. I hope it helps. Have a nice day.

I just bought a 95 gmc yukon and many little

Yes it could be a fuse problem, possibly more than one. Also check the curcuit breakers located under the hood in a box just near the drivers side firewall, take the cover off and under it they should all be marked what they control.Oh and when you check the fusses remember that some of those operate more than what their marked, in other words there might a fuse thats marked power windows that might be good, but there is a power accessories fuse that also controls the same thing, The heater Im not sure try the fusses and breakers first then go from there. Good Luck. I hope my input helps. Have a nice day.

You might want to check the high/low beam switch, it can fail and take out both head lights if parking lights work but no head lights.

Brake lights just quit working. Everything else

You may have a faulty brake light switch this will cause a intermittent problem with the brake lights only and will not effect the turn signals or running lights. It under the dash attached to the upper part of the brake pedal arm.

1995 GMC Yukon has issues

the fan setting sounds like a bad blower resistor or high speed relay but i would say the resistor, the air problem may be related to the controls or vacuum leak. check the engine area around the intake and make sure the vacuum lines are good and there are no leaks as this heater system is vacuum controlled, depending because some are actuator controlled also listen under the dash for a hissing noise as that would be a vacuum leak, another thing is to remove the control and check for vac leaks at controller.

HEAT NOT BLOWING HOT ENOUGH

First check coolant level and strength. If good condition most likely stuck open thermostat, just follow the upper rad hose to the engine. Remove the throttle cable bracket to access the 2 bolts holding the thermostat housing to top of engine. Make sure engine is cold before removing, you will loss a little coolant when replacing. Other causes could be plugged heater core, with engine running at operating temperature on gage. Follow the 2 heater hoses the the right side firewall (where they go thru into cab) one should be hot and the other warm (if the outlet is cold, heater core is plugged). The waterpump and cooling fan are direct drive off the engine and not usually an issue on this vehicle.

2001 yukon xl 1500 .

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Two things on how to deal with the issue. First, have a battery check if it still holding charge. If it's not then it's a battery problem. Second will be the alternator. Common issues on battery light is also a faulty alternator. If the alternator is faulty it does not bring back the charge to the battery, one good reason the engine stopped. If this is the case then it should be replaced.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Abs light on after replacement

it sounds to me like the brakes ned to be bleed, there should be a bleeder valve on the back side of the brake hub, its usually a 3/8 or 5/16 size open end wrench required, although it could be metric, 8mm, start with the furtherest wheel from the master cylinder, have someone pump the brakes until they are tight, then loosen the bolt until the pedal goes to the floor, retighten before they release the pedal, continue doing this until you get just fluid coming out, no air or bubbles, you may need to keep adding brake fluid will you are in the process of bleeding them as you will be steadily letting it out
