The distributors give this vehicle a lot of problems, because of the location of the distributor,The cause of your problem is,no injector pulse, most likely, you will have to replace the pickup coil in the distributor, and my advise,is to replace the pickup coil, module, and cap,and rotor. The reason being,is that it is an act of congress to just replace one of these, because of the location of the distributor. The water pump needs to be checked also,it can leak on the distributor, and cause a lot of problems. The parts will be high, but better to replace it now,all at once, and be done with it.The cap,and rotor are only available in a kit.
AC not working
The A/C system has a pressure sensor that detects the freon level in the system. If you lost freon, the clutch that engages the compressor will not engage. A good indicator is to turn on the A/C and watch the compressor/clutch assembly. If the pulley is spinning and the clutch is not, odds are you have a freon leak. Good luck!!
How do you remove fuse panel cover
Thier are two fuse panels on the 93 corvette. One is under the hood near the battery and one is on the passenger side in the crevis of the door. you can only see it (on the side of the dash) with the passenger door open. There should be a twist knob on it.
Torque specs on 93 corvette rod bolts
from the service manual.
Connecting rod nuts, tighten evenly to 20 ft pounds then turn another 55 degrees of rotation, seems odd but i have the factory manual
Corvette 1993 car stalls then can restart.
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. The stall is likely caused
by either a problem in the electrical system or in the fuel system. Your engine
stops running because it is not igniting gas in the cylinders, this occurs
either because there isn't gas to ignite, or because it lacks the electrical
charge to ignite it. Drive the car up and down steep hills. Does
this change the performance of the engine, or cause it to stall? This might
indicate a clogged fuel filter. Replacing the fuel filter is relatively cheap
and easy. The fuel feed line is pressurized by the fuel pumps/sender
unit so with engine off line is depressurized.
Please check the procedure for filter removal/replacement--
• Any time working with the fuel
system always disconnect the battery... unfortunately you will loose any stored
stereo stations.
• Loosen fuel filler cap to
depressurize the fuel tank (a put a note to remind yourself to tighten back
when you finish everything
• Go to fuel rail (right side) uncap
shrader valve, place a paper towl under and in front of it and then simply push
in valve stem and depressurize the fuel rail...you will get about a oz of fuel
squirted out. Replace shrader valve cap immediately.
• Get a plastic container as one
you would use to drain engine oil...put some paper towls in it (keeps the fuel
splashing to minimum)
• With a 10mm socket remove
metal shield protecting the fuel lines/fuel filter..with same socket remove
bolt holding fuel filter to frame
• With a 17 mm and 21 mm
(comparable non metric work too) loosen fuel line from fuel tank at filter and
just let drain for couple minutes (it doesn't gush out more a a dribble)
• Pull slightly the fuel filter
to totally disengage from tank fuel line
• Now using same 17 mm & 21
mm wrenches remove fuel filter from fuel feed line going to fuel rail..
• Basically just reverse to
procedure to install new fuel filter...
(1) Inspect the fuel line connector O rings to make sure
they are in good condition,
(2) make sure you reinstall the fuel filter retaining band
around new fuel filter first (but can be bolted back onto the frame rail last),
(3) make sure to install new filter with the flow going in
the correct direction and
(4) I do this just as a precaution.. Use Lock tight blue on
the fuel lines to filter connector threads (they only need to be tighten to 22
lbs so don't go garage ape on tightening them.
• Reinstall the shield
For removing the filter you will also need 16mm and 20mm
wrenches, and flare nut, crow foot wrenches.
Does the car idle roughly and stall when at idle? Your
car has a distributor; you may need to adjust the timing. With the right tools
and know how, this is an easy and free task. you might consider changing the
cap, rotor, wires and plugs. This is effectively a tune up and will resolve
your issue.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks

A/c blows hot
You may need to charge it up with freon at a mechanic. After a while your ac runs out of freon and needs to be refilled.
Clutch does not engage with a/c turned on
Are you talking about the A/C clutch? No clutch engagement usually means no refrigerant in the system....or not enough to allow the pressure switch in the system to close allowing power to the A/C compressor clutch.
This is the problem 99% of the time there is no A/C clutch engagement. The other 1% is electrical....burnt out clutch windings or no power to the system.....fuse etc.
Antenna will not go up or down, but still has
Have the antenna motor tested re place it if not working if antenna motor is working you will need a new antenna mast and antenna cable to remove this unscrew the washer nut at the base of the antenna and turn radio on antenna should push up and play out he cable to replace insert new cable and turn radio off it will draw cable in and antenna tighten washer nut and your dne
Car radio does not turn on and antenna does not go
could be faulty control panel of the stereo. Otherwise, it may have a bad fuse or fuse that is going bad. Last cause would be a faulty wire. Most likely control panel if it is getting power but not showing the display
