No idea ithout my head under the bonnet to be honest i would suspect the alternator myself but the clicking noise is a puzzle as this is no doubt the fault ,but need the bonce under the thing to know for sure as to cause

Hello, my name is Ben. You may know this is a very common problem in Corvettes. Chevrolet uses plastic gears in the headlight motors and the gears fail over time. You headlight motors are going to need to be rebuilt. There is a company that makes a brass gear to replace the plastic gear. I'm not sure if you are wanting to do the work yourself or having it done. If you are mechanical and feel you can accomplish the repair, I can send you the procedure.

Car doesn't turn over,but ignition turns on? Doesn't happen all the time,it just happens.. If I let it sit for a while it all of sudden turns over and starts. Happened twice this year..

Are you fully charged though? If you don't have a full charge the clutch will not kick in.

Replace your knock sensor.

2 levers inside the car at the front of the top pull down to unlatch the top. When the top is unlatched, push it straight up and then slightly forward to allow the rear portion to disengage from the guides.
