blue or blue/gray smoke is a sign that engine is burning engine oil. keep an eye on oil level and if engine is getting hot or over-heated this will not help your situation.

Common problems are the interior motion sensor and the hood switch. Try disabling the interior sensor by pressing the lock button on the key twice and see if it helps.

Sounds like you may have a short in the wiring to the speakers. You can play with the balance and fade controls to check the sound, but a professional car stereo installer can troubleshoot and replace that for you.

Check for OBD Fault Codes, then diagnose them, & component test, to find out what failed,what problems the vehicle has You didn't reset anything You cleared ALL Data needed to repair the vehicle, now it will have to be driven for a few days, so a shop can have fuel trim & other data needed to evaluate the issues

Try spraying a little WD 40 on the hood latch. Sometimes it gets stuck and just needs to be loosened up a bit.

check for the brake light switch which is below the brake pedal.

Check the fluid level in the tranny. If that is good try servicing the tranny with a new filter if that dosen't work I would think that the torque converter may be acting up.

When you press lock you should hear central locking click.
If you don.t the remote battery is flat.You can not change battery,it charges in ignition as you drive.Have you got a second key to try.
If not use manual key located in remote key{check ln owners manual}to lock car.Also using this key will confirm central locking is ok.

Where there is lever to unlock the hood mounting to car, must be seen the cable,properly should be attached to the lever. Take it use of pliers and pull the cable to out of his direction and it is triggered! damaged parts must be bought and replaced.

Good evening JGtazzie,You should be able to use your mechanical key to unlock the trunk.

Check for power at terminals on back of speakers and make sure the plugs wern't loose. if there is power there and they wern't loose then replace the speakers.

Have an OBII scan done. (fault scan) Your description can describe many things and a scan will narrow it down to the exact faults. It's easier & cheaper than throwing parts at it. Trust me, I used to work for BMW NA

on the passenger sidestrut tower, ther is a small plastic cap door with a "+" sign that is the battery positive thats where it should be....

Check with your local BMW dealer. If there is supposed to be more than one key for your vehicle, they can not only tell you, but they can also cut a new key by looking up your key codes using the VIN on your car. If there is supposed to be only one key for your vehicle, they can assist you in getting any malfunctioning key cylinders repaired or replaced.
