its more than likely a bent wheel if you have steel or a busted strut they're not made of much..

The tach signal comes from the engine computer. The computer gets a signal from the cam and crank sensors.What is the trouble code stored in the computer ?

On the Cobalt the car maker says that the fluid level only needs to be checked when the fluid is drained or when you have an obvious leak.If the fluid were to go low it would slip or you would loose drive.If you put to much fluid could foam and cause fluid loss.I would recommend that you take it to a shop and let them check it since the check plug is under the car.

now what it sounds like is the key has a sensor built in it the keys cost around 60.00$ but this is most likely what is wrong. the sensor is a security feature with the car if the light glows while trying to turn the car then this your problem :)

These lights are worthless,you are going to spend money on nothing,can you see these lights on in your path when your driving,me either.

You would take the car to someone who can scan the computer for trouble codes. Then once the problem is fixed, the codes are erased and the light should stay off.
