Where is the fuel filter on jaguarxj8 2005
if your xj8 is the all alloy xj350 model which i am sure it will be at that year, if its petrol it is under the plastic under floor panel on the lh side of the car as you sit in the car. the panel goes all the way down the lh floor pan the filter is at the front part of it. if its a diesel its under the bonnet lh side and you will need to bleed the system after changing it by turning the ignition on/off with a few seconds pause in between each cycle about 10 times. hope this helps.
Error code p1384 and 1396
Hi there:
DTC P1386 - VARIABLE CAM TIMING OVERADVANCEDPossible Causes:- Bank 2 VVT solenoid valve to PCM PWM drive circuit fault. - Bank 2 VVT actuator oil supply fault. - Bank 2 VVT actuator stuck. The biggest issues with vvts are oil supply issues. Useally debris like oil sludge in oil pickup screen, loose bearing clearances as an engine wears, and oil passages blocked/partially blocked to and in vvts. The first (i always shoot for cheapest potential likely fix) use a good engine flush(2 bottle for our higher than normal capacity engines) follow directions on bottle. Change oil and switch to a 20-50w. Leave out 1 quart and add 1 qt auto ****** atf(highly detergent, more so than engine oil and wont hurt anything) while you have overly ******** cam codes, it may be an issue of apply and blockage that keeps pressure in vvts too long when supposed to release. Most times its ******** cams( like the 1 i am doing right now....try this first and go from there, rememebr to clears codes and give time, you may have to clear codes a few times as it may continue to reset. DTC P1396 - VVT Solenoid Malfunction - (B bank)Check HERE a TSB about this faylkt code.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Poloroid tablet will not start up
you may get more help if this was in the right search. would think the mother board has a fault could be the fuse or the psu side of the mother board.
Door locks and dead battery
See if you can get jumper cables on the car. Hot one on the starter post where battery connects, and negative to a frame piece. You may get enough juice flowing to get the doors unlocked.
Coolant level light on xj8
this could be down to a number of things, one is that the little sender unit on expansion tank has had it, or the vehicle has stood for a while at a low level, inside the coolant tank there is a small pole with a circular tube that slides up and down according to coolant, work that wall in up and down motion for a while and quickly flush tank out with clean water,(vigorously) fill run engine till hot, keep toping up and that's it replace cap. if this does not solve problem by replacing the sender unit on base of coolant tank, be careful with this It must be inserted into the hole square as it has not a lot of play space and they tend to crack very very easily.
good luck and hope this helps.
