Mazda RX-7 - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
My 1988 RX-7 keep going dead. I have put in 2 new
Have to check for a draw on the system. if a test light will light when put between ground wire and battery terminal you have a draw, You then put each fuse to find out which circuit is the problem. the light will go out when you find the circuit that is the issue. If it does not, disconnect the alternator. download mazda electrical manual from foxed.ca not foxed dot com.

Is my starter the problem or the solenoid
With the FC3S platform you first need to make sure the battery and wiring are good. If the lights dim when using the starter there is an excessive draw which would indicate a bad starter. if there is clicking or no clicking at the starter voltage needs to be checked going to solenoid. If starter works by bypassing the solenoid, it is a bad solenoid.
