After i get to about half throttle my quad seems to miss fire losing power and sound weird, i took out my carburator and cleaned it up nice then started it up again after reassembly. it started perfect and ran strong. then when i went for a test ride and got to that point again it still was miss firing. Does this mean i need a top end rebuild?
No, it is either an electrical problem or fuel delivery problem.
I would agree, try to soak it with wd40 for a day, then try to remove it. Or you can just dis assemble the would carb to access it.

pull spark plug, lay it on engine while still connected and hit starter and see if any spark at plug. if so fuel issue,if sat for any lengthy period of time, pull carb. float bowl and clean bad fuel and resadew, unscrew brass looking jet and make sure clear,{should be able to blow air thru} ensure battery has full charge and should fire.

think u correct saying it flooding had same problem sticking float
now and again changed float no more problem or getting starved of fuel.
