Puff Dec 13, 2022 That would be your starter take a screw driver and place it on positive and negative on Starter Relay and if it turns over, check fuses then relay. If it doesn't turn over its your starter. Sorry it is nearly 9 years late in 'Puff' answering. :>D

If you have the front wheel off recently one, the speedometer sensor is easily broken and a common occurrence when the wheel is removed and replaced. The symptoms are erratic or non-working speedo. Also, there is a wiring harness under the speedometer. Remove the 3 bolts holding on the speedometer, and carefully lift it up and check to make sure the harness is plugged together tightly.

Hey Perry, there should be a drain plug near the bottom of the water pump hsg.. just look carefully .. the drain will be at or near the lowest point of the coolant system.

check 12 volt relay

You might have a cracked piston ring or might be burning oil.

If it's speed controlled sometimes there is a resistor that can go bad

Sounds like the starter solenoid is bad.
