VAIO FW Series is laptop
There is a button that you have to push when you use an external monitor - see if you can find reference to it in the manual or go to the web site for further assistance.
You may even be able to google for the info.
Want to upgrade from vista to windows 10
The Microsoft website will give details of how to upgrade and the costs involved, though buying the new operating system on hardware and performing a drive format and a clean new load could make more sense.
A computer that previously ran Vista will probably be a few years old and therefore have a low specification so you could be disappointed with the performance when running Windows 10.
I have a very old pc originally running Windows 95 that copes well with XP without perceptible loss of functionality for modest purposes, which makes no sense at all.
On the other hand a relatively high-spec laptop I own needs a fair amount of patience running Windows 7.
You have to try these things but the results aren't assured and it is a bit like making a wager with your cash. Might be more economic to buy an up to date machine.

Start up is in hibernation
Remove the power cord and remove the battery pack. Wait 20 minutes or so. Restore the power cord. Turn on the power and tap the F8 key repeatedly. Try booting into Safe Mode, then Restart normally.
Sony VGN-FW351J won't start or install windows.
You may have either a faulty memory module or a faulty hard drive. Remove one memory module see if the problem goes away. If not, remove that module and reinstall the other memory module and try again. It's unlikely that you would have 2 bad memory modules, but if one module is bad i recommend replacing both modules.
If the problem remains regardless of which memory module is installed then your hard drive may be wearing out. The suggestion here would be to replace the hard drive with an SSD which will add some real speed to your computer.

Motion eye doesn't work on Windows 7 Sony Vaio VGN-FZ220U
Your original Sony customised version of Windows included some dedicated webcam software plus webcam drivers. It is probable that you need both the software and the drivers from the Sony support website. The question is will the software work without you having a Sony customised version of Windows. Usually, it will work so try downloading and installing them. Check here:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNFZ220U&upd_id=3092&os_group_id=10
And here. Study the page carefully to make sure you've chosen the correct operating system and that you have expanded the view by clicking "Open File List", etc.

Usually, it is not possible to upgrade the cpu on a laptop. In rare cases where it is possible the upgrade usually costs nearly as much as a new laptop.
However, you can significantly upgrade the laptop's performance by adding more memory and by replacing the old slow hard drive.
Your Sony VGN-Z250 is usually supplied with 3GB of RAM memory. You can replace the existing memory modules with a new kit consisting of 2 x 2GB modules (total 4GB). The type of memory you need is "SO-DIMM" (meaning laptop size) DDR3 - 1066MHz (you may use 1333MHz memory but it will only run at 1066MHz speed). I would suggest either G-Skill or Crucial brand memory. And you can replace the hard drive with an SSD. You'll be amazed at the boost this provides, seriously. I would suggest either Samsung 840 EVO or Sandisk Ultra for an SSD. Both offer super-fast performance compared to your old spinning hard drive, and both have very low power consumption so they run cool and give your laptop a few extra minutes of battery power. You can clone/copy your existing Windows setup onto the SSD using free Macrium Reflect software or free software from the SSD maker's website. Or, you can do a fresh install of Windows.
Vram is 256 mb but dedicated is 64 mb and shared
You should not change this. Laptops have small video chips and often depend on "shared" memory to achieve good performance without overheating. Basically, the video processor borrows some of your installed RAM memory. Also, your laptop may have been supplied to you with less total RAM memory than the maximum and you can add more memory. In Windows, click on Start then right-click on Computer and select Properties. In the Properties window you can read how much total memory is installed. 2GB (2048MB) is a desrirable amount for Windows XP. Windows Vista and Windows 7 can benefit by having total 4GB of RAM memory. Check your Sony user manual for instructions on adding more memory. Basically, you turn off the laptop, remove the battery pack and unscrew a small cover on the bottom of the laptop to access the memory slots. Usually, there are 2 slots here. Ideally, you should install a matched pair of memory modules (a "kit") for peak performance. However, quantity of memory is more important than having matched modules, so if one slot is occupied and the other slot is empty you may simply buy one more module and install it in the empty slot.

How do i send photo files that are on my laptop without losing the pictures
Hi Irene - There are many ways to send photos and so I am assuming you are sending them by email. If this is not correct, please provide more info. Within your email program send a new message. In the new message, click on Attach File or Insert Picture. Which ever you choose, it will open a box that will allow you to locate your photo files on your laptop. Select the ones you want and they will be added to the email. They will also remain intact on your laptop. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Sony vaio online help
There is usually a button on wireless routers that puts them in to "discover" mode. You did not mention the wireless router you have so you'll need to locate the button on it by a visually looking for it or reading the manual. Once it's in this mode, you extender should begin to communicate with it and vice versa.
Although not a requiredment...it is highly recommended to have the extender and your wireless router from the same manufacturer. Mixing and matching will probably lead to miscommunications of both devices.

No sound icon on vaio with xp
That is a sign of a missing device driver for your audio. Download the driver on the manufacturer's support website.
