Vram is 256 mb but dedicated is 64 mb and shared
You should not change this. Laptops have small video chips and often depend on "shared" memory to achieve good performance without overheating. Basically, the video processor borrows some of your installed RAM memory. Also, your laptop may have been supplied to you with less total RAM memory than the maximum and you can add more memory. In Windows, click on Start then right-click on Computer and select Properties. In the Properties window you can read how much total memory is installed. 2GB (2048MB) is a desrirable amount for Windows XP. Windows Vista and Windows 7 can benefit by having total 4GB of RAM memory. Check your Sony user manual for instructions on adding more memory. Basically, you turn off the laptop, remove the battery pack and unscrew a small cover on the bottom of the laptop to access the memory slots. Usually, there are 2 slots here. Ideally, you should install a matched pair of memory modules (a "kit") for peak performance. However, quantity of memory is more important than having matched modules, so if one slot is occupied and the other slot is empty you may simply buy one more module and install it in the empty slot.

WLAN light is off
The light indicates that the radio for wireless internet access has been turned off. On my Sony the light is on the right hand side nearest me. It is green in color. The on off switch is on the left hand side next to the headphone and microphone jack. Yours may be different but somewhere is an on off slide switch. So explore the sides and back till it is located

I have a Sony Vaio
There are many ways to connect your Vaio to a Bravia. If you have a router, you can connect both pc's to it using ethernet cable (cable that looks like a telephone cord but a little bigger). Then open your control panel and click on networking. then follow the prompt to create a home network to allow both pc's to share files.
You can also connect to the Bravia using remote desktop through the internet. The easiest way to do it is to open the internet and type in join.me.com in your search box to locate their website. Then open it. You will see "share" on the left side in orange. Click on the orange arrow. The site will install a small file and then give you a nine digit number on the top of your screen. Have the other computer go to the same website but instead of clicking on "share" you click on "join" on the right side in green instead and then enter the nine digit number into the box and press your enter key on your keyboard.
You should be able to see the Bravia's computer screen. If you want to control the Bravia computer using your Vaio, click on the picture of the mouse at the top of the screen while in join.me and it will send a request for permission to the Bravia to control the mouse and access the files on it. The Bravia approves the request and then you can move and control their mouse.

How do i remove the hard drive?
Had the same issue, couldn't find a solution on-line, but I figured it out. First remove the battery and the screws underneath it. Then remove all the screws on the bottom of the laptop. Remove the optical device and remove the 2 or 3 screws holding the bezel to the base.
Here's where it gets tricky. There is one more screw under the keyboard, right where the F6 key is. Can't get to it until you remove the keyboard, but there is no obvious way to remove the keyboard.
Pry the case apart a bit and look inside, there are two plastic release cllips that hold the keyboard in. Very carefully retract these clips and remove the keyboard. Then you'll see that last screw. Take it out and you can slide the top bezel out of the way without removing the touchpad cable.
Replace the hard drive and put it all back together.
Hope this helps

Battery shows full charge, but when unplugged
Battery most likely has dead cells, the live cell that is still working is showing 100% but does not enough juice to keep the computer running by itself. You need a new battery.
