not car moved this to camera no model told at all the batteries are no good or connections rusty on most many of these are 13 years old and sold as new by liars endless on the web . models vcp-nnn (lots ) DMX-nnn (lots) the endless list is here. what it uses inside who knows lacking model the battery is bad, or allowed to leak and damaged connectors.

I suggest altering the settings a little and if that doesn't work try using a different software to enlarge images. Such as windows photo gallery. That's not too good for enlarging just good for keeping the quality up if that isn't good enough try using a free trial of photo shop.

Talk to Kastar and tell them there battery messed up your camera. I am assuming the camera was working OK when you got it.

"About video clip files recorded with this camera
You can use Apple’s QuickTime to play back video clips on a computer.
Playback may be possible using other software that supports the ISO
standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (AAC audio)."

There are many ways to view mpeg-4 videos, but the one that is recommended for your camera from the CG9 support webpage is apple's quicktime available from apple here.

I'm not sure if your camera requires special procedure to export files or maybe dedicated video player. To try if are files using any standard codec. Make copy of your MPEGTEMP.009 file. Rename copy to "test.mpg" try to play that file .you may want to download free vlc player.it plays almost everything.

If it is still under warranty, return it to the shop where you bought it.

If you bought it in Japan, chances are it is a domestic model with no means of changing the language. If not, then it will be a setting in the menu system - look in the manual

Try taking off the self timer

Do a system reset. Also, make sure the battery is fully charged. Pull the battery out then replace after 30 seconds.

hi Chasity, the first thing i would check is to make sure the batteries are ok. have you tried it with just the mains cord to see if it still does it.
