My motor on my hobart handler 135 is not working to make the wheels roll to feed wire. I disconnected it at the connectors and tested it and was not getting any readings on my meter as if it was not g

Make sure the trigger switch is applying power to the motor. If there is no reading when you checked for OHMS then the motor is open. You'll have to get a new one.

Only cuts for 3 seconds, device still on

Possibly an internal short in the torch tip... the expendable components failing in the tip will cause the sensors in the machine to register a "no cut" or "free air arc" state and kill the power to the tip to prevent damage to the unit. Replace the tip components and double check the grounds connections.

Northern tool brand wire fed gasless welder feeds wire fan work no welding?

You need to have the ground attached to what you'll be welding on. Make sure there isn't anything on the end of your wire. Also, if your voltage is all the way down it won't do anything either. Oh, one more thing, make sure you have a contact tip on the end inside the cone. That will be the copper thing the wire goes through with a really small hole. I know some of this sounds pretty obvious but if I hadn't done these things at least once.....I wouldn't know what to look at either. I also don't know your experience level and want to cover all avenues. Hope you find it!

Will not arc

Sounds like the voltage is not going to the tip. I would suggest taking this in for repair.

L bought a hobart 140 two days ago, welded about 10 feet of wire with it .now it only feed wire on three out of the five settings

Check the selector switch with an ohm meter. Unplug the unit, ground to chassis and probe the contacts while turning the switch on and off.

Wire feed is not stable on Hobart handler 135

is this a lower end machine ? the cheaper machines take the power from the welding transformer to power the feed motor and as a result the feed isn't stable, also is the wire liner and tip in good condition if not replace them, try blowing through the liner with compressed air to clear any dust from the wire

Hobart 175 ,pull trigger relay clicks have 24

If the machine has diodes check them. Also if it has a bridge rectifier check it. My 120 would not feed wire and the bridge rectifier was bad.
