If a cable is loose, that message will be resolved by tightening up the cables. You may need assistence opening up the computer to tighten the cables. Otherwise, it appears you will have a failed hard drive, and probably not be able to recover it. Jim suggest trying to scan the disk first it might fix problem or detect errors in your hard drive https://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/items/faq/596#Check_Disk this would cost less Then you could maybe know if hard drive is faulty or not and it might fix the problem changing a hard drive is not too costly and the old information on it might be able to be cloned across if the hard drive is not too badly faulty. check how much free space is on the hard drive and empty recylce bin. Windows needs virtual memory from hard drive to run . if there is not enough space it could run out of virtual memory and freeze up.
