THE TRANSFORMER IS POSSIBLE TOO BEE A BAD

Bundles of rows and bundles of lines have a combined "switcher" If one bundle gets a poor supply (bad contact or defective electronics) a band of pixels will act different or not at all. I'm afraid it is a normal defect and you need a tech to solve the problem. Before you order someone to repair, ask what it will cost, because in 3 years TV sets became much cheaper. Perhaps a new one is cheaper than a repair.

If you go to the Hannspree Facebook page you will see that this is a common problem with their tablets - they are junk. Solution: Buy something else.

If you have cycled through all the inputs without success then either the TV is bad or the input device is causing an issue. Oftentimes programming is delivered via a subscriber device, dvd player, or other independent player/source. If you have a service like Comcast then they typically will help with troubleshooting. It may sound silly, but be sure to check things are plugged in and turned on. Also, if you are using a strip cord to plug things into make sure the reset switch isn't tripped.

In Ebay you can find easily an original replacement for a very low price.

If the dvd player has a hdmi contact you should use this. In the tv's menu you should be able to define the hdmi contact in use. The same goes for a scart contact. However, if the dvd player has a cart contact only and the tv has no scart contact, I am afraid that you cannot use that player.
