Some newer TVs do not have the traditional "yellow" video input, known as an "AV" connection. Even without that input, you should be able to use the standard three-color Wii AV Cable that came with the system.

What to Do:

1. Look for "component" inputs on your TV. These connections have a row of five differently-colored inputs (green, blue, and red for video, white and red for audio). If you have more than one set of component inputs, it's the first set that generally works with standard AV cables. Look for a set that has a green input with yellow around it, or the word "video" just above or below it.
2. Plug the yellow end of the Wii A/V cable into this green "Y" input. Plug the white end into the audio "L" and the red into the audio "R." Leave the blue and second red holes open.

3. Turn on your Wii console and set your television to the input select being used.
4. If you are seeing the image from the Wii in black and white, try the following to get the image in color:
   • Cycle through your television's input channels (usually with the "Input Select" or "Source" button on your TV's remote control) to find the input select that has the image in color.
   • If you're only finding the image in black and white, you may need to switch the setting of the input select from a component signal to a standard AV signal. This can be done by:
     • An on screen menu option. This is often accessed by using the "Menu" button on the remote.
     • A button on the remote that switches between the standard and component signals. These can be labeled such things as "AV" or "Video."

sounds like a t-con board fail, as you have described a common fault, they can go in many ways, t-con board is fitted to the back of the screen behind the metal shield, you just need to replace this part, with the same part number that the board say it is. hdmi with ps3 this is normal it all depends on the cable and the setting on the ps3 as the tv matches the signal. some cheap hdmi cables or damaged cables have been know to take longer on loads of different models.

Replace the main board

Sounds like the power supply board is going out on it. I'm a t.v. repairman and many times, I just replace the capacitors on the power supply board and they work great. If you aren't qualified do not attempt this yourself. High voltage will kill. Not worth it, take it into a shop.

1. Turn on the TV manually or using the original TV remote.
2. Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button on the direct tv remote at the same time until the green light on the top of the remote blinks twice.
3. Using the number key, enter the first digit of the code above. Wait for the green light on top of the remote to flash twice
4. Enter the remaining 4 digits of the code as above.

When you make the connection with HDMI are you changing the source or input key on the television to activate HDMI port? If you don't activate the corresponding source you connect to and leave the TV in the TV mode, you won't actually see the device you are connecting. It's possible the TV does not support the 1080P from your PS3.

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. According to the LG websit, to factory reset your LG 55LV5500: Press the HOME button to access the Home Menu. Press the arrow buttons to scroll to SETUP and press ENTER. Scroll to OPTION and press ENTER. Finally, scroll to INITIAL SETTING and press ENTER. This resets the TV to the factory default settings and erases all stored channels.

Check the outside antenna ,if you have one for direction it may have swung round,or the set could have Copt a surge,fit a surge board to mains power.

It seems there is hardware problem so i guess you need to take it to service center for the same, as there is no easy fix for the same.
