Hello! I recommend that you try a programming method called a Power Scan this will allow you to search for a code and try the functions as you go. If you only receive partial functionality please repeat steps 2 and 3 until you find the code that works. If there is no functional code the TV button will flash rapidly.
Power Scan
1.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, then press 500 pound ( #)
2.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, press the big power button once.
3.) Press the channel up button once per second until the TV turns off then press pound (#).

3. Enter 9 9 1, and the "TV" should flash twice
4. Aim the remote at the TV and hold the Power button down for at least 3 seconds. (Remote automatically goes to first code but it probably wont work so go on to step 5)
5. Press CH+ repeatedly till the TV shuts off and stop immediately!
6. Hold "P" for 2 seconds
7. Hold "Select" for 2 seconds

Tv have problems with it power supply board,that the board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish power supply board for the replacement.Or u have all the tools also can do basic soldering and u know basic electronic too?Yes,check the whole power supply board carefully for dying and dead capacitors parts.These capacitors parts alway bulges up or puffing up onto it tops.Replaced all these dead bad capacitors components parts,should get the tv power back to the tv unit again for good.

You have inadvertently enabled the V-chip or Parental blocking of video on this TV. Find the V-chip/Parental controls section of your manual and see if there is a default password for this tv. Also, refer to your manual on how to turn on/off the parental controls/V-chip functions.

These sets are slow to start in general, but you may have some capacitors that are getting weak thus the time for all the functions to work properly are taking a little longer than they should. The lower end televisions are notorious for using the cheaper capacitors. You can check them by looking at the power boards and seeing if any of the capacitors are mushrooming at the top or expanding themselves in any way. If they are out of shape thys are getting week. The good noes is theses can al be replaced and betterone put in if your so inclined to un solder the old ones and re solder new ones on the board.
